hello i am back from seeing the consultant about my thyroid, he was a lovely eccentric man and we chatted about life (and apples macs) for an hour or so, wasnt one of those stiffy type consultants at all! very friendly and open and kept saying 'oh your just like me' when we were chatting he even walked me around to the blood dept after the consultation and waved me goodbye

but i am none the wiser to what is up with me, as my tests are still borderline and they have taken some more blood

he does however, think i have a lot of life style stresses and is going to write to my doctor to recommend beta blockers or something similar and he wants me to go for counseling

i am in bed now, going to try and have a snooze before i have to pick the finnster up

opps i forgot i was still TWC

WARNING The following is a rant. Ignore at will..........

Been to the hospital for a follow up with my Spinal Consultant (who I have never met and wasn't there again today) and was sent for more x-rays, after being told they wanted to operate on me.

Came back with said x-rays to be told, actually, they WON'T operate on me and there is nothing more they can do AND that there is nothing at all abnormal with my pelvis!!!

FUCKING TWATING BOLLOCKS!!

I saw the x-rays and could see that the 2 pelvic halves were very different and my lovely physio has told me the same.

The registrar has discharged me and again, didn't listen to a single word I said!!

She said it will take 2+ years to heal completely, I think - even though there is nothing wrong? Right?

She said maybe go back to the GP and get a refferal if I feel I need it in a few months to a hip surgeon. WTF??????

Then I came home to be told that the builders, Bodgit & Scarper, won't be back for 2 weeks. 2 FUCKING WEEKS!!! So I have half of the kitchen exposed to God knows what, no way of securing the house, hospital appointments for Ethan which MrMouse and I always attend together and no fucking roof on it either so it got soaked last night.

Apparently, they are waiting for a joiner.

Question - WHY THE FUCK DID THEY NOT BOOK THE JOINER IN ADVANCE FOR WHEN THE WORK NEEDED TO BE DONE???!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am livid. What are we paying them for? They said a total of 6 weeks. Pha, yeah right! MrMouse has gone mad and said all done by end of July or else less cash

And if anyone tells me 'at least they won't be there to annoy you or piss in your garden', I shall cry!!

I am sorry for this huge rant and if you've gotten this far, well done.

Agree with double - get to you GP and rant. Or write a very very strongly worded letter (with a letter from your physio included) demanding a 2nd opinion, cc'ing everyone in and threaten anything you can think of. The sad thing with the NHS is that it is usually those who shout the loudest that get attention.
