Ok, must stop looking for sandals. Today I have bought

3 dresses, 1 top and a playsuit

Good news is it is mostly sale stuff so I have spent less than £70.

Bad news is I have spent around £68. I may have to do some overtime in the next couple of weeks to make up for it

I have done bugger all today. Got as far as changing DS' bed and discovered the mountain of lego and books underneath it. By the time I had sorted that lot DD was awake and I have to do the school run in a minute!

So DS' room is tidy, the rest of the house rsembles a jumble sale.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 28/05/2010 14:55

Oh, and I have bought zero sandals!

Yes Happy Birthday Trills!

Yes, I suppose I did get some bargains, just feel a bit guilty spending that much on clothes for me.

I really don't have any summer clothes though, so I did need to buy some bits.

And I still need some sandals!

bellavita · 28/05/2010 15:18

Yay Crispy! Well done.

Alice - rest!!

Trlls - have a lovely evening with your mum.

Mouse - have a great time with your friend.

Where is that Shiney one? She said she was going to make an appearance last night!

Oooh a week off foryou too Vinny

That's me done with work for half term - yay!!

wastingaway · 28/05/2010 16:02

Have a lovely weekend Mouseface.

Happy Birthday weekend Trills! That one about men staring at goats? Looks funny and it's got George Clooney in. Or Sherlock Holmes? Not sure what else is out recently, but those are two I'd be getting.

Hope you both have a lovely week off Vinny and Bella.

Bitter, if you need clothes, you need clothes. And if they were bargains, then job's a good'un.

Thank you Lizzy. I lurve that photo.

With my hair, I've been growing it because that's what the Curly Girl woman says to do, but mine just gets stringy and flat as it gets longer. I like it all Annied up.

Thinking of taking DD to the saturday morning kids cinema tomorrow. I will be sat down, but not stuck in the house. Plus Frankie&Benny's is next door and they have kids eat free atm. Good plan? Or stressful?

wastingaway · 28/05/2010 16:13

Has she been a stresshead lately?

Alicetheinvisible · 28/05/2010 16:15

No, bored

wastingaway · 28/05/2010 16:21

Probably be ok. As long as you charge your phone up, set off early, take snacks etc etc Remove as many potential flashpoints as possible.

jetcat · 28/05/2010 16:22

FFS - now new babysitter has let me down as well I bet yank thinks i am a total pain, as have had to text her back and re ask if we can do sunday Am getting all worked up now, so much for a relaxing shopping trip

Alicetheinvisible · 28/05/2010 16:24

She has been once before, just after her 2nd birthday but had to go out a couple of times. Going to take a book/magazine for her to read before it all starts and get a bag of popcorn (very important) then lunch. Have text my friend to see if she wants to come with her DD who is a year older.

jetcat · 28/05/2010 16:26

sorry Alice, x post. Just you make sure you stay sitting down, and not running about after her in the cinema

Alicetheinvisible · 28/05/2010 16:35

Jet - Sunday will probably be a bit quieter though

jetcat · 28/05/2010 16:36

do you think Alice? And i have just realised there are two debenhams in leeds Will have to try and find out which is the biggest i think!

Alicetheinvisible · 28/05/2010 16:40

I definitely think sundays tend to be more quiet than saturdays. A lot of shops have browsing before they open properly too. I totally agree with whoever said on your S&B thread to have a coffee first and plan your strategy. Much better than traipsing

jetcat · 28/05/2010 16:43

thanks Alice (calms down a little)

i have my list of clothes, shops and directions from train station

Lizzylou · 28/05/2010 16:44

Jet, don't fret, it will be fab whatever day you go. With your new swishy hair

Alice, DS2 went to the cinema from about 2.5yrs old, was fine, lots of sweets

Have a fab weekend Mousey and Double.

Yay for half term and everyone who is having a break.

Drier is here, they came just after the school run, luckily. Can't fit it though as it is hardwired so no plug, which means they can't take the old one away either.

Ah well, DH said he and his Dad will do it tomorrow.

Just made some lamb kebabs with DS1, he is shattered after this half term. Boys are having kebabs salad and wraps, DH and I are having falafel, kebabs and stuffed vine leaves.
