Original thread

In the last 3 weeks I have had one morning where I woke up not in pain.

I have rules out it being my bed as it happened when Dh and I went away for two nights too.

I get pains in the day now too and I can feel the pains and aches in my bones.

It eases off throughout in the day in my torso but in my arms, hands and legs I can get unexpected twinges.

I have arthritis and osteoporosis in my head.

DH said I had to go to the GP but what can they do really?

I've been down the chronic back pain rout for the last 14 years, although I suspect my case is not as extreme a SIFW's.

You don't want this to get entrenched, and it's unlikely to sort itself out without some help.

As to your doctor thinking it's psychological - so what?

For all we know, gps are thinking that every time they see us, but it's their job to sort out whatever we're presenting with.
Don't forget that sense of entitlement - your health and wellbeing are just as important as anyone else's.
Having multiple problems is no reason to hesitate approaching the doc.
Fwiw, I'm currently seeing a chiropractor who is recommending a course of rehabilitation - a few sessions of adjustments and 'dry needling' (acupuncture but without the yin/yang/chi nonsense), then a course of Pilates.
I'm quite hopeful it will work, but have tried loads of different approaches over the years - it's a matter of seeing what works for you.

Just got back.

Saw GP who is always so lovely to me.

Has given me some medicine for stomach tenderness.

Going back on Monday for blood tests to see what is going on with my bines.

Typically very little hurt while there but I can feel it pulling in my legs now while bending over to do this.

Phoned DH in tears. I can hear the worry in his voice.

Going swimming now. DH suggested it.

Thank you all so much.

Feel so pathetic.

Really glad to hear you've seen a doctor and that you've spoken to your DH. Goodluck with the blood tests, hope you get some answers.

I agree with sleepsforwimps about the aromatheraphy massage. I am a qualified therapist and see many, many emotional clients. They are usually under a lot of stress for whatever reason, do try and find one and have a treatment, I'm sure you will feel much better. Try to stop worrying as this will make you feel worse.

Where abouts in the country are you?

Take care x

I am in the SE.

Just got back.

Did 32 lengths and now I am having some soup.

Limping when I got out of the car but is easing now.

Fancy an afternoon nap but wake up feeling worse when I sleep in the day.

I am starting therapy in September but sometimes that feels so far away.
