I got pg with BAbyG whilst on the pill, so I'm ruling that out

I got streilised whilst I was still married. Couldn't bear hormone stuff and then having 2 DDs under 3 I would have forgot. So I got the snip after I has asked Exdh to have vasectomy but he said no.

He has since remarried and had snip for her though.
While I sit here and suffer with the most horrendous periods every month. Should I meet anyone else, I cant give them a child should the time ever arise that I want one.
£500 reversal from Marie Stopes and only 45% fertility.

I've tried combined pill, cap, IUD and condoms in that order.

Cap was ok but not very spontaneous, pill was fine and tbh I should have carried on with it as the age range is now a lotlonger- used to be stop at 35- now some women go on right up to menopause.

Hated IUD as it partially slipped out after 3 weeks and I had constant bleeding- probably a poor-insertion procedure!

Hate condoms, but a necessary evil.

Maybe OP you should double up- pill and condoms during fertile days? I had a friend who doubled up with IUD and condoms during fertile days.

I have a cervical cap. It's really easy to put in, it doesn't really interfere any more with spontaneity than a condom would. I would definitely recommend it.

I used an ordinary cap before and this is much easier to fit.

I did use a mirena coil which was great for minimal periods, but I have had problems since having it removed(miscarriage, irregular periods, maybe problems conceiving although we didn't try for long)

I'm just coming out of a hellish year with a copper coil - horrible heavy periods for two weeks at a time. Made me feel quite depressed. Then the stings disapeared and it took 1/2 hour of rummaging for the doctor to get it out. I've gone back on the combined pill and feel much better.

I am on day 32 of bleeding with implanon insert in arm thingy!

Am pissed off and fed up and a bit pissed too! (too much wine!)

Might need to just grab DH and do the deed which I know is tmi but am fed up with bleeding after so much time.

wish he would just go for the snip and we could still use condoms and be done with it all. No more babies for me!

echo the cap or diagphram (sp) - expat have you thought of using that? FP clinics seem to think it from the dinosaur age tho.

used the cap when married worked very well (and I think we were both quite fertile.

Since exh next p had vasectomy - great

Have now gone back to diagphram - just put it in when expecting sex - you can always take it out if you don't. As someone said no less spontaneous than a condom

was shocked that the fp were really pushing hormonal stuff to me.

I did take the pill for ten years pre dc
