we use 'em, because DH won't get a vasectomy and i'm done having peoples' hands up my fanjo, stiches, piles, pregnancy, PND and all that jazz.

but if he had the snip i'd be glad to see the back of them.

We actually like condoms and it is much less messy with one!!

i'd get sterilised if they rolled out the Essure method with just the local anaesthetic.

but i'm not having another GA, painful gas to bloat up my tummy and that risk of ectopic pregnancy after all i've been through giving birth to 3 children and one missed m/c.

So its very much sounding to me like IUDs are not popular....

someone local to me was sterilised under local but when I asked GP she said i'd hvae to have a GA

So yeah, it's Persona and condom and he gets nothing during the fertile times.

If he doesn't like it, he knows how to pick upt he phone and ring the GP for an appointment to be referred for the snip.

you pee on a stick to tell if you're ovulating or getting close to ovulating.

i can usually tell without it, because tbh i start getting, well, let's the say that men like the dark-haired bloke on MasterChef start to appear attractive (eeewww!).

Oh crap. Was really hoping to hear that 'yes we all have one and it's fab' reassurance. So, is there any way of researching which seem better than others or is it more a case of 'suck it and see' ? Or obviously abandoning the whole plan and going down another route...
