he said he felt fine tho, so made them redo it on another machine and it came back down to 70bpm. thank goodness, i was panicing.

he seems to be, Misdee. spoke to him this pm. I live in London, so bit of a trek. used to it though. just can't wait to kiss and hug him - and for him to see his grandchildren - esp as him and ds are sooo alike. whereabouts are you? are you near Peter's hospital?

misdee · 28/04/2005 21:12

we're in welwyun in herts. Peter is currently in harefield which i belive is in the london borough of hillingdon. its a 45min car riode if roads are clear, as the trip involves the M25 it sometimes takes a bit longer. i dont drive so i rely on lifts.

Misdee - glad Peter is retaining his sense of humour!

Sorry to hear about your dad dinny.

misdee · 29/04/2005 15:37

been to see Peter today. he said he was feelign very low last night. looks like he'll be in till the end of next week. he just be home enjoying the sunshine. he cant even go for a walk outside as he just cant walk that far, and there isnt always a porter about. he isnt wired up to thew monitors this time, as they can check his heart rythm with the ICD, so he is a bit more 'free'. is off the oxygen, and the infection seems to be clearing up. physio has been to see him, but they cant do much to help as its a lower lung infection.
heres to another week of travelling!!

i dont know how much more i can take. atm am holding it together because i have to IYKWIM. but i think as soon as all this is over i'm really going to fall to pieces as it will hit me hard how close we are/were to (i hate saying this) to losing him. its a real possibility that he wont get a heart in time but try not think about it too much. gotta be positive.
