misdee, I can't imagine what you're going through. Or rather when I do imagine it I also imagine myself going totally mad! It's the kind of situation nobody wants to have to deal with.

Love and prayers to you all xxx

Thinking of you all

If I died I would be glad (iyswim!) to think that by donating an organ I could save someone's life and let them go back to their kids. It makes a death far less senseless IMO.
I am SO sorry Misdee. I don't know how you are coping with this and such a little baby. I really admire you.

misdee · 27/04/2005 22:27

Thanks. feeling a bit better now. just got in from the cinema, and now waiting for dd3 to have her last feed. my mum was looking after the kids, and dd3 didnt stir once. my boobs started filling up about 9pm tho, ouch!

Misdee, thinking of you a lot. My dad currently in CCU with his second episode of tachycardia. Had to have a general and two electric shocks this time to bring it back to normal. They don't know what's causing it though - he's having a MRI scan soon.
You're being so strong. All the very best wishes to you, Peter and your children. Dinny xx

oh dinny, how scary? have they done ECG/Echo/X_rays?

dh suffers tachycardia at times, the worst was when he dx, was about 180-200bpm, whicfh is way way too fast, they got it down with complete bed rest and loads of meds. he now has an ICD fitted to stop it happening. its gone off a few times i think, as he says he can feel it at times.

CCU is a scary place, dh spent 1 week there when 1st dx, so many machines going off all the time.

thoughts and prayers with your family too dinny xx

so awful, isn't it, Misdee? this time, my dad was up to 240bpm (!!!!!!) and was flown by air ambulance (thank God for its existence) and arrived at A&E just in time. he's stable now, on beta-blockers and awaiting MRI scan (he's had all the other investigations - all inconclusive). He had an ablation (did your dh have this?) about 3 weeks ago and we thought that had worked, up until now. . They are talking about an ICD for him too - we're from an island, so he prob will need one, I think).
Going to Cornwall on Friday to see him - can't wait just to be with him. Take care and love and all good wishes. xx

an ICD will help. but your dad wont be allowed to drive for 6months afterwards, and each time it give another shock it will be another 6months. which is a PITA.
