contraception, withdrawal method......

Does anyone else use this method of contraception? I know its not good but im sure it works for me.

Been with DH for 11 years. When i first met him I was on the pill. After 2 years we then moved to LA and i stopped taking it and started using the withdrawal method and then after another 2 years started trying properly (IYKWIM) for a baby. Fell pregnant with DD1. After I gave birth went back to withdrawal again. I knew this wasnt 100% so i tried the pill twice and it turned my into a depressed maniac and I said I will never go on it again. Then started trying for DD2 and fell pregnant and gave birth in 2006. Have been using withdrawal ever since.

In the near future we will probably try for another baby (still unsure!) which is why im on here doing research as I know its not 100% safe. I have just recently found out I have polycystic ovaries and am waiting for a scan so I wonder how fertile that makes me.

I go on top. I understand there is pre cum but it has never affected us before, maybe im just not that fertile?!

DH is fine with this, he would rather do this than me take pills but occasionally he says "do you think it's safe?" I just say NO! I am wondering though, he aske me just after I finished my period, is there less risk of letting him straight after my period than say 2 weeks after I finish?

I have very long cycle though so fine for me

I an a ewcm and mittleshmertz (sp) girl so easy to pinpoint

No, nothing scientific here.

Just woman on top after a particularly erotic episode of 'Sexcetera' and his not warning me quickly enough.

Other than that, no probs with it at all.

And yes, we have penetrative sex even around the time of ovulation, because I really want it then and I want it . . . erm, hard then.

Have gotten pregnant by mistake once, first cycle after ERPC for missed miscarriage (and first cycle we tried), and first two times after 6 months of majorly trying.

But on the whole we've been happy with it.

It freaks out health practitioners, though.

Who invariably try to shove the Mirena-fucking-coil up me again.

Like I said, I really don't want anymore and would be very happy to be sterilised. I am 38, have three kids and a history of AND/PND. But until I can get hold of the Essure method I can't have the whole GA+blow up the abdomen with gas rigamarole because we are completely on our own with all three of them, I still struggle with PND and DH has to work all the hours God sends to earn our crust.

must make it safer with a longer cycle. mine being 90+ days.

i am worried when i have a scan on my ovaries what they will find and doc did say I could carry on with periods like this or if we want more children it can be corrected with tablets so I have a period more often and ovulate. Im not sure what i would choose as I guess i have got so used to my peiods being like this but would like to ovulate more!

yes it is safer with long cycle
BUT be warned

when i had fertiliy treatment i got pg by spem that were deposited 6 days before ovulation

I would use this method happily although a happy acident could be traumatic as we have a high risk of a sn child.
DP is however very strict about condoms as he is terrified of an acident.
I can't take any form of hormone as i have a history of blod clots and any other pop makes my life hell, i have been offered a coil but am scared of having any other contaceptive treatment other than condoms. I can't be sterilised and wouldn't want to, dp would have the snip but is to yougn and i wouldn't want him to.
If certain things would change in the future we would have another baby.

Gosh thats scary, maybe I just carry on as i am! I am worried though that Pcos can get worse as I may not be able to get preg again?

Saying that hough i would [boak] if dp got cum on me becuase i am a clean freak, i would rather him get it on the sheets then change them.

K, he has pre-cum? Like it off before you get on top.

You are having sex with him on top, he needs to give you plenty of notice to get off the horse before it reaches the finishing line.

I used this method for a couple of years. I have a gorgeous dd2 as a result of this method.

Lol Suzi thats what i prefer about condoms, no mess near me at all, he deals with it and disposes of it.
I am probably a bit anal (no pun intended) about mess during sex.
