I don't know how much of it I can take. My lovely, lovely, Dad passed away on 6th February and we laid him to rest on Monday.

Now, my poor Mum, who is already in bad health, is very, very, poorly and they may admit her to Intensive Care tonight.

I just want my Mum to be well.

I've had enough.

Your poor mum

and I'm so sorry for the loss of your dad.

Wishing you and your family the strength to get through this and hopes for your mum's recovery.

Jampot · 20/02/2009 10:24

sorry to hear about the loss of your dad LilredWG and now that your mum isnt too well either. I have been in your shoes although my dad did have his lung removed and then died unexpectedly after a repair operation went wrong. A couple months later my mum had a brain haemmorhage - she did pull through that one. I was 22/23 at this time and do now know how we got through it but we did. Please bear in mind if she is admitted to Intensive Care it doesnt mean she wont come out - she will just have more one to one care - better for her to be there with constant care than on a busy ward where it is possible to overlook things.

Also, hospital visiting is incredibly draining as Im sure you have found out, dont think you have to visit all the time, you really do need time away from there.
