I have a slight problem if there's anyone around who knows about renal conditions.

I have had pain for a couple of days, I went to the GP yesterday and he sent me for an abdo X-Ray and an urgent ultrasound (which can't be done until Thursday). The urine sample I took in was clear (looked very thick to me), however, I'm drinking but very little is coming out IYKWIM. My eyes feel like they are going to pop out, I have no fever, just lots of pain. What else can I do bar phoning NHS redirect?

TIA.

Sorry Scrooged Ds woke up. Go tomorrow; drink as you feel thirsty. Don't force yourself to drink more.
The likelihood is that it nothng serious but no one can say so without seing you to exclude things which they can do very quickly.

Hi Scrooged, how are you doing? Hope everything ok this morning.

scrooged · 08/02/2009 09:42

I have not been yet . I'd thought I'd see how long it would take for a cup of water to work it's way through, it's been 15 mins so far so I'm setting a record. I can see alot better, I hadn't realised how bloated my tummy was last night until I woke up with a flat tummy. Doh! It doesn't hurt unless I poke. I'm feeling a tad on the 'want to vomit' side though.

I will phone them in a bit. I don't want to worry ds, he'll be really upset that I'm not feeling well and not told him. He's a fusspot.

I have managed to get an appointment with the out of hours. I've just taken some painkillers and my head's started to spin. It could be the painkillers (I hope).

Let us know how you get on won't you.

Hope it isn't anything bad

She said I was dehydrated and needed to drink more! There was a bit of blood. I am drinking, not that it makes much of a difference. She couldn't do any bloods as it was the out of hours, BP was normal, 109/79 which is good.

Thanks for caring

Oh that all sounds good. Glad you went, you have stopped me worrying anyway

Hi
I went back to the GP yesterday and he sent me off for some blood tests. He also said he didn't think it was my kidneys due to the lack of blood. I had a sneaky peak at my x-ray where I spotted....... a stone! I'm hoping it's gone now as I'm feeling much better.

Thankyou all for your help. I'm so very grateful.
