& if so, what did you think? Does anyone know of a good practitioner in North London? Thanks.

I could detox, but not shove a pipe up my own bum.

JoolsToo · 21/03/2005 13:58

I'd rather eat a tin of beans thanks for the offer!

Suzy you have actually read it even after the photos bleughhhh...???

suzywong · 21/03/2005 14:00

no way, the suppository after a week of codene after the birth of both kids was enough self service for me, best off paying someone to shovel the sh*t away

suzywong · 21/03/2005 14:01

it was the florid description and the phrase "evening bucket" that drew me to it

JoolsToo · 21/03/2005 14:02

oh and I've had 3 enemas - the 2nd too with gel sachets and the first one with tube, funnel and gallons of water - I wouldn't want to go through that again!

I had it done at the Hale Clinic and I never went back.......they massaged my stomach and colon so hard I was in real pain for about a week. I found having all that water inside you really uncomfortable. I'm not sure how much good it did, but I didn't really have any specific problems anyway - I think lots of veg and a bit of all bran would probably have the same effect....

I bet all the friendly bacteria get washed away though.

alibubbles · 21/03/2005 14:07

Ruuuuuuuuuuuth!!!!!!!!

My poo was nothing like that.....yet!

alibubbles · 21/03/2005 14:17

suzywong, there is a viewing window in the pipe, normally only the practitioner sees it, but they ask if you want to as well, and angle a mirror so it is relected in the mirror and you can see it when you are on your back.

Sometimes you just see clear water coming out, then followed by 'stuff' bits, bubbles, mucous etc Facinating stuff!

The massage was very gentle and relaxing, I did enjoy it, but you must relax so you are not tense.

alibubbles · 21/03/2005 14:18

gingerbeer, they give you a massive dose of acidophhillus to combat losing friendly bacteria and reccommend you take it for a month or so afterwards.
