A revolutionary re-usable sanitary product, available in boots. Supposedly will put an end to our montly spending on sanitary wear!!

Thanks, the kids are happy now that we are going swimming

Sandy, I have noticed that too. I didn't know if I was imagining it lol.

sandy4 · 19/08/2008 21:48

wow...its some kind of magical, mystical thing then. i'm very happy with it anyway.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 19/08/2008 22:03

Yep, the lightening happens with everyone who uses a mooncup. Cant remember the theory behind it.

TigerFeet · 19/08/2008 22:06

Is it something to do with disposable sanpro drawing the fluid out whereas teh mooncup allows it to come out at its own pace? I dunno.

Received the Mooncup package today. I must agree with one of the comments on their website that they could make it a funky colour and less clinical looking, but I suppose the dyes might be environmentally damaging or less safe in the fanjo.

Anyhoo, I got a discount code on the receipt, which allows 3 folk £3 off - I might be taking a bit of a liberty posting it on a website, but here goes:-

Happy saving, ladies

Damn, just bought a new one!!

Trim a little bit of the stem off at a time. I trimmed it all off and couldn't get the blighter out!!

Have now gone for the smaller, 'b' mooncup as I think the 'a' was getting wedged right over the cervix, as it was my widest place.(see other, embarassing threads!)

blueshoes · 21/08/2008 14:45

I am a mn mooncup convert. I started out with problems inserting but got the answer on mn. Love it now.

Aefondkiss · 21/08/2008 15:56

well done Carnival, welcome to the MN.MC club, good luck with it, I hope your discount code converts others too.

Glad to see from Manxmum that I am not the only one who couldn't cope with the 'A' size and had to downgrade - am now on my second month with size B and am finally feeling that I've got to grips with it (so to speak). Lulu25 maybe you should try the little one, my big one went all over the place.
I've also taken to smearing it liberally with lubricant before putting it in which makes it a bit of a comedy experience but seems to make it easier to get it in the right place

blueshoes · 22/08/2008 18:10

takver, glad you found the right size. I had the problem with too big and flappy mooncup with difficulties inserting, lubricant and all.

Until I discovered the different folds you can do to insert the mooncup: here. The origami fold worked for me. It is now a breeze.

Thanks, AFK
