seeing her was weird.i called her late lastnight and had to ask her to come and see us.Ive never done that because our relationship is strained.but she was fine.actually kind and warm especially towards j.i feel a bit like Ive been hit by a bus at the moment.what i need is a bloody good cry and j home.

Really pleased J and you are getting out of hospital tomorrow and your visit with your mum went fine. Thank goodness he's feeding again and hope he's fully recovered very soon.

1dilemma · 13/07/2008 00:33

yeah
rest tonight in case j is up for a party tomorrow

copingvquietly · 13/07/2008 01:06

no sleep for me.he is awake but feeding!

OP posts:
thumbwitch · 13/07/2008 01:11

feeding is good - I'm expecting my DS to wake up tonight as he has been a tad unwell himself today - bit of D&V, quite listless in the mornign, not really wanting to feed too much but better by evening - so he is likely to get hungry! Nothing in comparison with your J though, I realise that.

I'm sure once he's fed he'll nod off again and let you get some rest.. fingers crossed for you!

BecauseImWorthIt · 13/07/2008 10:43

Don't know your history with your mum cvq, but her visit sounds very positive - think it's a great idea that she comes to help you out as I think you will surely need a break when you get home, and a bit of TLC for you!

Glad to hear that J is feeding.

Take care.

copingvquietly · 13/07/2008 11:33

we can go :-)
need to wait for j to wake though.

Nice to be home?

flamingtoaster · 14/07/2008 09:25

Great news that you are home. Hope the night went well.

copingvquietly · 14/07/2008 09:46

first night home and hes been awake on and off cryingi am totally exhausted as is he.

OP posts:
thumbwitch · 14/07/2008 10:05

do you have to get up? If not, then try staying in bed with him and let him feed and doze as he needs to - and you doze at the same time. This is what I do with DS when he has a bad night - it is quite therapeutic, lets us both catch up on sleep and is nice for more bonding. He tells me when he has had enough of it and wants to get up!

Have you been told to give him calpol? I wouldn't normally go to it but when we brought DS home from hospital after his hernia op, it was the only thing that settled him down that first and second day (presumably pain relief for the scar).

copingvquietly · 14/07/2008 10:20

were both still in bed actually.not the best night.he was awake on and off just crying.so its safe to say i am totally exhausted!

OP posts:
thumbwitch · 14/07/2008 10:31

poor you, poor him - I hope you get some rest today (((hugs)))

is your mum likely to come again soon and give you a hand? Or have you not decided yet whether that would be a good thing?

copingvquietly · 14/07/2008 10:35

im just talking to psycho about it actually.i might ask her if she wants to just come for one night.i need to try and give her a second chancei still love her.

OP posts:
thumbwitch · 14/07/2008 23:13

hi CVQ, just checking in to see how you and J are doing - did you manage to get some rest today? has he stopped crying and is he any better?

What news on your mum - is she coming to stay?

Keep strong, you are doing a fantastic job
(((hugs)))
