update on misdee's dh

he is still waiting for a bed at harefield. the hospital are working with dr banner as far as i know, and they are trying to see what tests they can do here and what needs doing at harefield. his lungs are good, asnd his cardiologist doesnt belive he ever had pneumonia and is pretty annoyed at other hospital for not getting dh properly checked out, even tho we tried to tell the hospital what is wrong. all dh symptons he has had for the past few months point to heart failure, but did they listento us? errrrr no.

at least now he is getting the care he needs and will soon be at harefield.

well cardiologist is stil ltrying to get him to harefield, but still no beds.

he has had another echo and ecg done, his heart rate is erratic, even at rest. the vomiting started again last night, and his cardiologist says its because the herat is so enlarged it putting repssure on his other organs, so hopefully once he gets on the list and gets a transplant then the other little probs will disappear.

How is he today misdee? Have been thinking of you.

hope they move quickly now I felt like I was on dialysis forever when things suddenly worsened like your dp I was sick constantly and my kidney function really stopped(dialysis alone isn't enough really)I had my transplant 3 weeks later You really have it all going on don't you?Keep going you're nearly there!

dh is actually worse today than when he was admitted. breathlessness is getting worse, he can barely stand without getting breathless, eating exhausts him. he had a chat with the chaplin the other day, she was interested in what was happenign as he is 'an unusual age' to be up on that ward.

theres a bloke on his ward who is waiting for a bed at st marys. he is needing dialysis as well as a bypass. he has now been waiting 4 weeks for a bed at st marys. he seems nice enough, holding up well, the old man next to him is just wingeing tho.

Your poor dh, misdee, . How is he in himself? You always sound so stoic in your posts, is he the same?

Oh no, misdee. Sounds awful. Really keeping my fingers crossed that things will turn around for dh and you soon. xxx

he is fine in himself, he just wants to get to harefield and gets some answers and know whats hqappenign and what is likely to happen.

oh and he wants a pub meal of ham egg and chips

might try and spring him out for a meal later this week if he is feeling ok, the pub is juist next door. i'll make sure he stays off the beer lol.

lol@ misdee, just chatted to her online and she asked if she can swear at me when she has the baby as DH won't be able to do too much!!! Just hope she doesn't blame me for put the baby there too

Just read this thread, Misdee. I'm sorry to hear what worrying times you're going through. I hope your DH gets his transfer soon and that the treatment & procedures will work fast.

i've got just under 4 weeks left. getting excited and scared lol.

still waiting for harefield

harefield want him there as a matter of urgency but there just isnt the beds available. so thats 12 days of waiting.

How frustrating and infuriating. Really hope they find a bed for him soon.

still no bed. think thats gonna be my daily post lol.

he has lost another stone in weight, which means all the excess fluid he was retaining is leaving his body. no more swelling ankles!
