started with tum ache sunday morning. I cannot pipoint anything different in diet to have cause it, My appetite is fine,

But blow me down ) and I probably will soon) the wind is, erm, consistent shall we say. Yesterday I looked about 6 months pg.

dd has also been saying she has tum pains, but no wind.

but she tends to get them when she is abit run down or upset, which she is atm.

This feels like yrs back when i used to have ibs.

When I used to go travelling, we were warned against a bug which caused "foul smelling gas" and the runs. I used to take a strong anti-biotic with me in case, but luckily I never got it. I wonder if you might have that?! I'll see if I can find what the bug was called!

satine · 03/06/2008 19:56

Hmm, this is what I was thinking of, but it seems unlikely unless you've been swallowing pond water, or travelling in South America!!

NoNickname · 03/06/2008 20:00

Enteritis? (Not to be confused with gastro enteritis).

nickytwotimes · 03/06/2008 20:01

Lots of bugs just make you feel a bit off, without violent d ans v. Should pass in a few days with any luck!

piratecat · 03/06/2008 20:24

but one thing that crossed my mind was, that we went to the zoo on friday.

Dd has had this for over a week... half the children in her class have it. Foul foul smelling farts and lots of follow-throughs. Seems a bit better now.

I started getting tummy pains yesterday too.

piratecat · 04/06/2008 07:56

itwasntme, sorry to hear you have prob got it. I can only suggest to you to wear something comfy, i gave up my jeans yesterday, for a loose skirt.

hope you get better soon. My dd has been complaining of a bad tum, but no wind as of yet.

Yes I had really really bad ahem wind all last night, felt cold and shivery, and my darling had it a bit too. I had to bring her to our bed , so I could soothe her quickly if necessary.
She seems much brighter today.

I feel really bad actually , horrendous pain in my tummy and the runs.
spending most of the day in bed, as it seems to have triggered my Colitis, and I am now on steroids.

DP is having a few days of work to look after our daughter.

I am hungry , but not going to eat , as not sure of the outcome.

I hope your all better soon

3madboys · 05/06/2008 16:29

i have been like this for three days, HORRIBLE HORRIBLE wind, and visiting the loo, LOTS, no sickness, but a very bloated and uncomfortable tummy

piratecat · 05/06/2008 17:17

oh dear, tallie, didn't know you had the colitis too.

do you think you have the 'bug' on top of that then??

3madboys, just to say sorry to hear that you also have it. I haven't heard of anyone else having it round here. I didn't have sickness either. just orrible poo.

Still feel a bit dodgy today, but the wind has eased a bit. this started sunday so hopefully it will be gone soon.

get well everyone.

Tallie11 · 05/06/2008 17:41

Definitely have the bug too. Have had my colitis under control for months now , through anti inflammatory drugs, but because of the bug , the drugs haven't worked(haven't absorbed)it has triggered colitis. So double whammy.

I live in Kent , and I haven't heard of anyone with it here.

Really hope your all better soon.

I am feeling much much better , but my daughter was sick yesterday, so think she definitely still has the bug.

Hope your better soon

Pinkchampagne · 07/06/2008 20:29

I've been feeling a bit like this for the last couple of days. Tummy pains, feeling slightly sick, slight headache & just a bit under the weather in general.

CapnTaLcY · 07/06/2008 20:32

Yep, i had it a couple of weeks a go.
Bloated belly, windy pain, poohed on the sofa.

I took about 5 days to go away.
Get well soon

piratecat · 08/06/2008 10:59

hi, i went to the gp, last min on friday. I felt like a fraud, but just wanted to be sure there wasn't anything he could give me.

I came out thinking, ok it is a bug, i have to get over it. Feel much better today.
