Morning OJ Steve has been aggressive towards you, it is so out of character for him, but he is not in control of his actions and would never hurt you intentionally. X

IAteRosemaryConleyForBreakfast · 04/05/2008 08:50

I don't often post on your threads OJ, but I do look in on them. I'm so sorry you're going through this.

TotalChaos · 04/05/2008 08:53

very sorry it's been such a tough weekend with Steve. Hope that you can sort out a hoist and a catheter for him soon.

whispywhisp · 04/05/2008 09:31

Oh OJ. What a tough time you are all having. Put the kettle on and sneak a nice large measure of Rum in it....no-one will ever know! xxxxx

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 04/05/2008 09:46

Morning OJ. I hope you were able to get some peace and sleep last night.

I understand yours and Steve's possible resistance to a catheter, I really do, as it seems you are slowly taking away some of his dignity and independance. But if you do decide it is the way forward you may find that it is easier for all concerned - most importantly Steve.

Much love to you all xx

mammyjo · 04/05/2008 09:51

Oh OJ I can't even begin to imagine how hard things are for you day to day. As others have said, the aggressive Steve is not the real Steve. Hang on to all your most precious memories. Hope you manage some cuddles and trifle today Lots of love to you xxxx

Klaw · 04/05/2008 11:37

Notquitegrownup · 04/05/2008 12:34

OJ - I don't post often but just wanted to say that you are all in my thoughts and prayers. Your posts are an inspiration sweetheart. Your love for your family and your dignity shine through - even though you probably don't feel that way. Thinking of you.

onlyjoking9329 · 04/05/2008 14:31

Sorry Steve is not great today.

Love that teddy is looking after the trifle.

ChutneyMary · 04/05/2008 20:32

Oh lovely, I am so sorry things are not so good. You know that the aggression is part of the illness and not the real Steve. I hope you can get the equipment you need soon.

Take care and I'll look in later to see how you're doing. Much love XX

trulymadlydeeply · 04/05/2008 20:43

Hi OJ, sending you lots of love as usual. Thinking of you all xxx

onlyjoking9329 · 04/05/2008 21:12

Steve seems a bit calmer now thou he was ranting and raving earlier at the carer, he said he was talking F*ing bollocks

schmoopoo · 04/05/2008 21:20

OJ just wanted to say what an amazing person you are please remember Steve is ill and this isn't him it is the illness talking. Huge hugs

BreeVanderCampLGJ · 04/05/2008 21:22

OJ

This is difficult for me to type and even harder for you to read it.

I think you need to ask about time frames.

We didn't and DH went to Dublin on business and only got back by the skin of his teeth to see his Mum.

onlyjoking9329 · 04/05/2008 21:29

Time frames are difficult to guess i have a time frame link which says steve has 2-3 weeks but it is hard to judge cos some of the stuff means he has less than that
heres is the link.
see here

Hi OJ, I haven't posted before along with many, many others I suspect, but so many people are thinking of you at the moment. You are being so brave - though I suspect you don't see that right now.
I hope the kids enjoyed the Wii !
x

panties · 04/05/2008 21:38

Oh, OJ I hadn't realised! I realise that this is a futile question, but has steves family seen the website, do you think they realise that thiings are so close to the end for steve.
As always I send you, steve and the kids my prayers and best wishes.

BreeVanderCampLGJ · 04/05/2008 21:52

Darling, darling girl...

If there is anything, I or MN can do to help you, you must let us know.

MN when first encountered is a scary place, but Lord God, once we are mobilised we are a force to be reckoned with.

AngeG · 04/05/2008 21:53

Oh OJ I'm so sorry. Haven't posted in a while but have been thinking of you all.

You really are a wonderful person and very brave.

Hope the children (and you!) enjoyed the Wii.

xx
