I have been faffing under the pretence of researching. i cant possibley buy any more books now am commiting myself

Have decided to revise my lifestyle and pick out the bits from various books i've been reading

  1. To get rid of my post pregnancy pouch ( not that i had a six pack before) I am also going to start a pilates class in January

  2. Try and increase my energy, i have visions of not being able to keep up with my ds once he starts moving i think i have about a four month headstart hes 5 months at the moment, so healthy eating and less SUGAR

  3. Try and drink more water.

anyone want to join me? we can support each other on-line?

cheers

okay so whats your plan for exercise today wsk?

OP posts:
wobblystarryknicks · 03/01/2005 08:27

Ummm.....do some? Lol, if it's dry (unlikely) I'll take dd out for a long walk. If not I've found a really good set of exercises in a mag to do, apparently they're what Keira Knightley uses to stay slim and fit - wouldn't mind looking like her!!!

smileyragdoll · 03/01/2005 08:29

long walk with dd sounds good - make sure you do more than a 10 mins amble though needs to be a good brisk one! my usual trick is i'll go for a walk oh dear is cold lets go home son, have yo got one those pedometer things yto count steps?

OP posts:
wobblystarryknicks · 03/01/2005 08:33

Yep, have got a pedometer but don't usually use it round the house because it can't measure all the exercise I'm doing picking dd up, putting her down over and over again etc!!! But will use it if I go for a walk. Usually do about 30 mins brisk walking (ambling annoys the hell out of me!).

smileyragdoll · 03/01/2005 08:38

okay then i'll try and find out my pedometer

are you up for a challenge?,
i know when i was wearing it i did about 6000 steps on average and 9000 when i made to effort why dont we wear it today and take a baseline then we see where we are and then try and challenge ourselves i reckon this we can fit in with other stuff we have to do ?

have you had water today?

OP posts:
wobblystarryknicks · 03/01/2005 08:42

Definitely - that sounds good. There was a pedometer challenge on here a while ago but I only got one halfway through and by then I couldn't be arsed . Have had one glass of water, just off to get another one. Thought I'd hate all this water stuff and still don't like drinking it but am already feeling 'fresher' in the last couple of days.

smileyragdoll · 03/01/2005 08:49

i'm feeling better as well and i havent even been doing it properly, just having my second glass.
Now if you and any other lurkers out there give up on me i'll have to come and SLAP YOU, just think we are going to have great bods for when the sun comes out late in the year

Thanks srd - I'm determined to get to 9.5 st by the time summer comes. Have just finished my 2nd glass of water - feeling a bit sick but its good for me. Also have to get over my thing of not having brekkie and snacking later so am sitting here forcing myself to eat a banana

smileyragdoll · 03/01/2005 08:56

sounds like a good plan to have brekkie better than morning binge later or try yogurt i like that for brekkie somethimes and tinned peach slices?
Right in a few mins am off to do chores etc house to get in order post holiday mess to sort etc etc, and steps to accumulate on my pedometer curtesy of the BBC fat nation people and a bit of yoga to do. take care all

OP posts:
wobblystarryknicks · 03/01/2005 08:58

God you sound organised!! Am going to let myself sit here until dd finishes brekkie and then get going, dig out my pedometer and try and get the figure up to a few thousand. See you later

smileyragdoll · 04/01/2005 08:48

OP posts:
wobblystarryknicks · 04/01/2005 13:04

Awww, how did you go this morning? Just imagine yourself thin and svelte and think how that'll never happen unless you eat healthily and drink all your water!!!

(btw, yesterday i did my pedometer thing, was just over 8000 steps)

wobblystarryknicks · 05/01/2005 09:09

So, how are you doing srd? I;'ve done badly on the choccie front but managed 10 glasses of water yesterday (!!!!) and think i look a bit better for it. Had a really active day yesterday but only managed 9000 steps, starting to think there's something wrong there!!!
