Mark on breast - what is it? Picture included

So a few weeks ago I noticed this mark appear on my left breast. No pain, no lump, it just feels slightly smoother than the rest of my skin. This morning I noticed a bunch of other marks on my torso while I was in the shower. (Second pic). husband says breast one has got larger.
called dr to arrange to get it checked out. Receptionist told me to get pharmacy to look at them. The pharmacist was very uncomfortable (as was I to be honest) and he all but refused to look at the one on my breast. He did look at the others but they had gone down a lot.
so now I don’t know if it’s something I need to get checked out as nobody else seems that bothered, hence me coming to strangers on the internet to see if anyone has any ideas.

I can't see a 2nd pic but do the torso marks look the same as the one on your breast?

If you'd not said it was smoother skin on that patch I'd have thought dermatitis or a fungal infection/ringworm but I'd expect that to be a bit raised.

ahandmaiden · 27/07/2023 15:20

Ringworm? I've had it before on my arms and legs and it looked like this.

Superher · 27/07/2023 15:21

It looks like ringworm but I’d hazard a guess at guttate psoriasis. Have you had any viruses recently?

cocksstrideintheevening · 27/07/2023 15:26

Looks like ringworm

Elmers · 27/07/2023 19:09

Thank you all. Ironic that NHS suggests you should have a pharmacist inspect it to issue the right treatment. I’ll try and find a different pharmacy tomorrow.

How old are you? I have slightly raised small patches on my back and midriff, doctor said it was acnetic keratosis and is age and sun exposure related

User16496743 · 27/07/2023 19:14

It could be pityriasis rosea and the big one could be the herald patch, don't worry it's not at all serious just a viral rash if it is

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 27/07/2023 19:23

Looks just like ringworm to me.

decaffonlypls · 27/07/2023 19:27

It looks a lot like ring worm

Flipflopflopflip · 27/07/2023 19:34

Another vote for ringworm

lissie123 · 27/07/2023 19:36

Ringworm

SoCentralRain · 27/07/2023 19:40

Yes, I was going to say ringworm too. Just get some fungal cream from the pharmacy and it should work. But obviously book GP appointment if it doesn’t get rid of it.

continentallentil · 27/07/2023 19:41

While you are finding another pharmacist I’d also send these photos into GP, explaining pharmacist didn’t want to look at them / didn’t know. Either a GP or one of the nurses or Phys assistants should be able to prescribe

OooIcouldCrushAGrape · 27/07/2023 19:45

Look up herald spot. I had this..u get one large patch and loads of smaller ones

definitely do this!! and perhaps feedback to the GP that the receptionist advised you to get a breast rash and breast changes looked at by the pharmacist...this isn't the sort of thing that should be going to a pharmacist and i'm not surprised he didn't want to look!!!

TheShellBeach · 27/07/2023 19:47

Ringworm.
Daktarin cream ahouls help.

Blanketenvy · 27/07/2023 19:48

Looks like Pityriasis rosea to me.

Topbird29 · 27/07/2023 20:09

Had similar a few years ago. Went to a nhs walk in clinic. Nurse said was Pityriasis rosea - didn't get anything prescribed, but advised to use unscented shower gel / moisturiser. Used aveeno for shower and body moisturiser. Started with a herald patch then went onto torso. Don't know what caused it, and took about 2 - 3 weeks to go. It could be similar. Think they put it down to body fighting a "virus". Think it is immune system doing something.

WhatADrabCarpet · 27/07/2023 20:14

Ringworm.
Had the same .
Got a cream from GO. Was warned to not wear the same clothes two days running and to wash them after wearing.
Also told to not share towels and they need to be washed straight after.

I did think it was odd when I rang GP. I even said they might not want to see me, I'm happy to just send over some photos in the first instance. I was quite pleased when the pharmacist refused to look because I didn't feel comfortable either.

Thanks all for further responses. To answer a few questions, I'm 38. I don't think I've had any viruses recently but then I have an 8 month old baby and a full time job meaning I pretty much feel run down all the time anyway so could have just had something mild that I wrote off.

I never wear the same top twice in a row but I do wear bras more than once. I'll stop doing that for the time being assuming ringworm, unless I get advised it's something else. I've stayed in quite a few hotels/Air BnB recently so could have picked up ringworm from somewhere perhaps.

I think I will try and call surgery again this morning and ask for a link to send photos over to, explaining pharmacist wasn't impressed.

Yes I have this a couple of years ago mildly and ds had it quite badly. I didn't have any other symptoms, he had a cold.

Ikeameatballlunch · 28/07/2023 17:07

It's just a weird viral rash
