Hi, i'm not sure if there is anyone with dental experience that can help. I had a tooth extraction on Friday and am worried with how it's looking.

How’s it healing?
Are you eating normally now?

It looks like it's healing as it should but it's good you're having a follow-up with the dentist tomorrow. They'll know what questions to ask to gauge whether they need to see you again.

I had two extractions within the last year and got dry socket with both (when the blood clot doesn't form or gets dislodged). Horrendous pain and horrible taste in my mouth. If you don't have those I think you're probably fine. Having a tooth out is brutal though, you have my sympathies!

It is brutal! I had mine out and still shocked!

How long does it take to heal?

Why is it brutal? It is really painful or just the after care?
Got me worried now.

It takes a fair bit of brute force to get the tooth out but because you're numbed you don't really feel it. You do hear the "crack" though. It wasn't nearly as bad as I thought but the aftercare is a bit of a pain, being careful what you eat for a good while, taking care not to bodge the clot.

It took longer than I expected to get it out.

Im
just worries about the hole!

Make sure you have soft food in for after. Yoghurt without bits.
I wish I’d got jelly!
