PEPTO BISMOL - Where's it gone?

Has it been discontinued? I haven't been able to get it at any local pharmacy since before the pandemic. Each time I ask they simply say they haven't got it in stock. It works way better than Gaviscon for us, so if any has any info about it pls post.

Luckily i was able to ask a friend to bring me some from over seas but that nearly gone and to buy on ebay it nearly £20 for a small bottle

KAC76 that’s what I find quite baffling, how it’s widely available in places such as the USA but not here.

It has apparently been banned in the EU, or at least some member states, because it contains bismuth which with regular use can have a rare side effect to the brain. It also contains salicylates, think aspirin, so is contraindicated with that, ibuprofen and other anti coagulants.

Another thing that mysteriously vanished, never to be replaced, was TCP ointment in a tube. It was a paste like substance and it was amazing.

It’s literally just vanished! I can’t believe some of the prices they are selling it for on eBay! There’s no even an alternative 😞

I used to use a cream called Dermadex. It was real life actual magic. Eczema, spots, bites, sunburn, you name it, it cured it. It sort of numbed the area too. It was fantastic but then they just stopped making it. Still gutted.

I just bought some in the USA. Wish I had seen this before and would have brought more back!

My mum posted me three bottles. But I suspect they have expired now.
