I always class McDonald's kinda take away dufferent to say Chinese or Indian

But how many times a month would you say you have them? I'm wondering what the average is and if I have too many 😂😂

Once or twice a month - they aren't brilliant around here, so I would actually rather get an M&S one for about £12 and add a few bits to it.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 23/04/2023 22:54

Once a month, payday Friday, and always pizza! We tend to get an M&S dine in deal or their Chinese takeaway box, or eat out, on the other three weekends.

ralaa · 23/04/2023 22:58

Every weekend.

thaegumathteth · 23/04/2023 23:16

Probably 1-2 times a month. Sometimes none at all and sometimes more if for example on holiday or really busy.

DyslexicPoster · 23/04/2023 23:22

Takeaway while I'm out with kids or on a family day out could be 2-3 times a month but could go a month or two not getting one. Takeaway to me is getting a Chinese or Indian or fish and chips so I turn a mental blind eye to the odd McDonald's.

Businessflake · 23/04/2023 23:25

Probably 2-3 times a month. But it’s always from an actual restaurant.

Divebar2021 · 23/04/2023 23:28

3 or 4 times a month - we have the choice of 3 delivery companies

Yuasa · 23/04/2023 23:28

I used to be in the disappointed by takeaways camp, but the choice and quality has really improved over the last few years so we use them far more now. Once a week generally.

I try to get two-plus meals out of one takeaway, so I prefer things like Chinese, Thai, Indian or sushi over burgers and wraps, which are inedible the next day.

ODFOx · 23/04/2023 23:28

DD is doing a studio day every Friday for her y13 project, so I've bought her a McDonalds breakfast every Friday on the way in to college for the last 6 weeks.
Otherwise it is pretty rare: a couple of times this year so far.

chocciebiscuits · 23/04/2023 23:37

Oh dear it seems like we have a lot more than the average 🙈 takeaway every Saturday night, usually Indian or Greek and then a Mc Donald's for lunch at least once a week too. I'm pregnant and I'm craving it so badly!

Ollifer · 23/04/2023 18:19

Around once a week /once every 10 days so 3 or 4 times a month. Sure you'll get loads of responses on here saying they get one every 4 years though 🤣

Hahah true! I need to know their secret if they do

Twice or three times a week 🙊

That's more like it

Maybe once a month/6 weeks. Would get more often but I'm coeliac and can't get anything delivered round here so it needs a car journey to pick it up.

That's probably a good thing tbh

Oh wow! How!?

mcdonald's, KFC, Freddies Chicken or similar never
Chinese once every 2 or 3 years
Indian once every 3 months, This is my favourite.
takeout pizza maybe once every couple of months. I only have this if DH has come home late and brings me one home.

I love an Indian!

Sushi once a week (cannot be arsed to try and source the quality and variation of raw fish required!). We have amazing takeaway options here though. Sometimes a Dishoom, or Turkish meze.

I don’t think you are getting the ‘average’ UK household response on here tbh. I can only afford it about once every two months but in my area (London council estate with high percentage of lower income families) most of my neighbours have deliveries at least once a week. I’m baffled how they afford it and also quite envious.

God knows how they afford it in London yes, Jesus

At least once a week 😬

Expense, and just not getting around to it

Not four years apart, but my secret is just not having a lot of money. A takeaway makes a big dent in the food budget.
