Takeaways?? How often?

I always class McDonald's kinda take away dufferent to say Chinese or Indian

But how many times a month would you say you have them? I'm wondering what the average is and if I have too many 😂😂

We get Thai, Lebanese or Indian two times a month I'd say, and McDonalds or similar three times or so. We have a monthly budget of £80 for takeaways. Used to go out to eat before the pandemic but we got out of the habit I guess and would rather have it delivered now.

Once a week usual

Fish n chips a few times a year.
Nothing else due to allergies.

Last one was about 3months ago

Fish & chips maybe every 3 weeks but Chinese/Indian hardly ever. We get Maccie D’s every couple of months but wouldn’t bother if it wasn’t for DD14. Never have Dominoes or KFC.

Probably once a week. Would be more often if the amazing sushi place near us didn't have such random opening hours.

Maybe three or four times a year? Expensive and unhealthy so a rare treat. However, we definitely eat out more regularly.

Once a week generally. Last night we had Chinese, last week was dominos. It’s our little weekly treat, plus there’s nearly always leftovers for the next day.

Maybe once a month. Maybe less frequently. We probably eat out in a restaurant once a month and I usually will buy lunch from a shop once or twice a week.

Average probably once a week. Although if I'm stressed/busy/overwhelmed/sad/travelling it's more often... when I'm feeling happy and productive less often.

Where I live there is a huge amount of take away options though, basically anything you could think of delivered in about 30 minutes- lots of them very good quality and reasonably priced too.

Literally never. Although we do eat out every week.

Once a month but we are quite adventurous cooks and live fairly remotely so tend to try and master our favourite dishes at home

For us its 2/3 times a week plus we'll eat out at least once too.

Once a month on average, sometimes don't have one for a couple of months. A VERY expensive way of eating, so we've only ever had them as an occasional treat.

Twice a month on a Friday night, roughly.

Either sushi or a chicken shish with rice and salad.

Since we swapped to Hello Fresh we have reduced. Used to be once a week (Chinese or pizzas). Now its probably once every 3 weeks.

We do, however, grab a Greggs or a McDonalds most weekends (either or) with the kids for a lunch.

It's the expensive that I can't justify. Three days food budget on one meal that wouldn't even stretch to two nights like it did a few years ago before DS hit the teen growth spurt.

Use to be every fortnight. Now once a month or 6 weeks. Far too expensive to justify more for us.

takeout pizza maybe once every couple of months. I only have this if DH has come home late and brings me one home.

Chinese used to be about every six weeks or so but the quality of the food dropped dramatically the last two times so we gave up. Other than that there is very little choice in our area other than a chipper that uses dirty frying oil and another restaurant that is rarely open and does not appear to have set hours.

At least once, often twice a week. By Friday I am just sick of cooking and thinking about what to cook, I just want to sit down and relax.

I don’t think you are getting the ‘average’ UK household response on here tbh. I can only afford it about once every two months but in my area (London council estate with high percentage of lower income families) most of my neighbours have deliveries at least once a week. I’m baffled how they afford it and also quite envious.

About every 3-4 weeks - Indian, Chinese or sushi.

None of us are too fussed on McDonald's etc, we only have it at motorway services on our way home from holidays so about 3 times a year.
