Anyone have OCD?

I have obsessive complusive disorder and im having a rough time with it at the moment.

i am feeling highly stressed and anxious and im feeling low.

Anyone else suffer so we can chat, i really need a friend on some common ground.

mikeyjon, I am the same, I don't want OCD or PND on my medical records, so haven't been to the drs. It's getting beyond a joke now though (the pnd) so have to do something.

i only confessed to my husband tonight that i have pnd and possibly ocd - he had just thought i was lazy and odd

hes trying to be supportive but doesnt understand really.

ps - carribeanqueen, i love your name, it makes me think of the lilt adverts

Unfortunately there is too much stigma on mental health and ppl feel ashamed or scared to admit to GP's there maybe a problem.

I always new i was 'odd' but when it all came out i felt better knowing its not so bad.

I look the same as everyone else, i laugh, i cry and i bleed when i cut myself. I have learned to hide my OCD outside of my trust circle. They take no notice of me, its something ive always done and im likely to always do.

Pls dont feel you cant talk to your dr's ppl, they keep you sane. xx

My dh knows I'm weird, and he's still around! I have told him most things, and he didn't run away, bless him!

What did your husband say? I can't imagine telling dp to be honest. I have mentioned depression but he just ignores me! So this might be a bit too much!

I honestly don't like talking to the dr about anything unless I have to and he's usually my last port of call.

What are you planning to do next mikeyjon? I mean re treatment.
