I have done a juice detox for a week.

cod - not crap for me - makes me sleep better, more energy and I really need more energy at the moment

add some organic stock to it
have it with tuna
have it with roast veg

SpookyMadMummy · 21/01/2008 19:25

Well, I can do most of that
I rarely drink
I like brown rice and salady stuff and raw veg
Wheat may be a problem.. meat may also be a problem to give up completely
I already drink usually 5 litres of water a day
I go to the gym too.
I usually only drink Green tea which boosts metabolism.

OLDroot · 21/01/2008 19:26

if you do this already - then you can give up wheat adn meat easily!!!

Recently started a detox so won't join you for the lent one, just wanted to say how great I feel even though I fell off the wagon once BUT I did have a 6 day headache that was unreal at the start . If in doubt give it a go. I have added chicken and fish back into mine as I don't function very well without meat for long periods (I used to be an anaemic, energyless veggie for a few years - started eating meat again and could run a marathon).

ANyway, good luck everybody you will feel so much better.

ScienceTeacher · 22/01/2008 18:09

I'll be doing my annual giving up of wine (except on Sundays ). Gosh it's not long now!

3andnomore · 22/01/2008 18:11

I did a Juicing detox (Juicemanster) last year and it really improved the way I felt and gave me a great jumpstart for further weightloss...
I even stayed away from alcohol for like 8 weeks, whihc is quite amazing

I have been thinking of doing it soon again

OLDroot · 22/01/2008 19:54

yes I did that one 3.

come and join me

3andnomore · 22/01/2008 20:41

It was easy at teh time...but dh was away, so, I found it that much easier, iykwim

LilRedWG · 23/01/2008 09:12

Am thinking of giving up alcohol for lent.

LilRedWG · 23/01/2008 09:14
