it's what was traditionally done for Lent wasnt' it? That's why we have pancake day. to get rid of all the flour, milk and eggs we have.
how do you do this with the kids around though? i don't want to have to cook 2 meals. or DS will have to live off beans and scrambled eggs....

OLDroot · 23/01/2008 10:44

I give the kids an adaptation of mine

add cheese
add meat
etc

The purpose of Lent is to fast from something that you enjoy, so that you make a sacrifice. You are also then supposed to give away all the money you have saved (almsgiving).

It's up to you what you give up. It's personal.

of course it is up to you - but the thread title says what I am giving upand have asked anyone who WANTS to join.

I am not forcing anyone
