Anyone else got this virus that's not covid?

I've felt rubbish for days, chesty cough, sore throat, aching all over and just feeling generally unwell.

I've done LFTs over the last few days, all negative. Obviously some other viral thing doing the rounds I haven't felt this crap since covid!

Yes, all three of us in our household. Loads of negative LFT. From talking to others it's everywhere in our SE home town.

Itwasgoodwhileitlasted · 24/06/2022 19:15

I've had to nap at 5pm after work everyday this week. Feeling wrung out and sneezing a lot.

Cotswoldmama · 24/06/2022 19:25

Yes it's been in our house about a month now. I got it and it lasted about 10 days then my boys got it, one ended up in hospital with breathing problems, then I got it again but seem to just about be over it now. We've all been testing and have all been negative!

Needmorelego · 24/06/2022 19:33

YES !!
Started feeling like "I'm getting a cold" last Sunday and just coming out of it now.
Sneezing, hacking cough, lots of phlem (urgh),every bone in my body aching, sweating, not sweating...
Felt worse than when I actually had covid.
Did several Covid tests and they all came up negative.
Horrible. Just horrible.

Merryoldgoat · 24/06/2022 19:36

Yes. I had it and felt awful the other week. Still got a sore throat - way worse than covid was.

FourChimneys · 24/06/2022 19:36

Yes, and it's far worse than when I had Covid.

whataboutnow · 24/06/2022 19:36

Yes! Have been sure all week it must be covid as feel just like I did when I had it a few months back but LFTs all negative.

teraculum29 · 24/06/2022 19:39

yeap,

same here. lots of lateral flow tests done all negative, plus everydau a bit different symptom.
Started with feeling unwell, then sore throat for a day, then bunged up, then dry cough and now more chesty.
And feeling constantly tired.

gingersplodgecat · 24/06/2022 19:41

Yes, DH and I have both had it, first him then me. It took me nearly three weeks to shake off, and I've only been feeling all right again in the last couple of days. We both tested for covid several times because we both felt so awful, negative results though.

I wonder what it is.

gingersplodgecat · 24/06/2022 19:42

Forgot to mention, dodgy guts on and off too.

Did anyone else get that?

BruceAndNosh · 24/06/2022 19:44

Sounds identical to the current strain of covid that I've just had

Well that's what we thought about our symptoms, but half a dozen text kits from different boxes and taken by two different people, and all negative?

Makes you think, doesn't it?

Yes!! This is exactly how I feel.
I've been certain it's covid.
Sounds like plenty of people have it, I hope it doesn't linger for ages!

Me! I had it end of last week start of this week and felt rotten. Headaches, sore to my bones, cold e or sweating, exhausted, blocked sinuses, sore throat and cough. I've got the sinuses and sore throat/cough now but everything rose has gone. Negative lft throughout

missfliss · 24/06/2022 19:47

Oh god - me me me too.
Entering week three.

My sinuses in my cheeks hurt to touch, ears were killing me with pressure changes. Now I'm just left coughing up the most disgusting phlegm, feeling exhausted and bone aches

missfliss · 24/06/2022 19:48

PS tested covid negative 3 times

0blio · 24/06/2022 19:53

Yes, I'm in the middle of it now and hope it goes soon. I was so convinced it was covid that I've tested a few times but all negative.
More like flu than a cold - shivers, fever, cough, aching limbs, throat and head and exhaustion.

ItsSnowJokes · 24/06/2022 19:58

I had it a couple of weeks ago, pushed through it and ended up with a severe sinus infection which then ended up as Bells Palsy. It fucking sucks!

Lollypop701 · 24/06/2022 20:00

Yep no positive lft, but coughing is awful and feel like shit.

Yes, me and some work colleagues. I felt 10x worse than when I had covid. Sinus issues, short of breath, sore throat, loads of snot,

Twillow · 25/06/2022 23:29

Yes - few days of coughing, 5 days in bed utterly drained, sinus drip and tiredness lasted a few more weeks. Negative test.

Restingbiatchface · 26/06/2022 00:14

4 weeks with a chesty cough but no pain and feeling fine otherwise. Just this cough especially when I lie down. Although it doesn't wake me but I will have a bout of coughing and little lumps of phlegm Confused I had a metallic taste a few times after coughing but that seems to have subsided. And I'm sure I caught this a month ago on public transport after a day out with friends. Just lingering intermittent cough. Covonia seems to help a tiny bit but chest feels a bit wheezy if I don't get all the phlegm up (sorry TMI).

Restingbiatchface · 26/06/2022 00:15

Sorry meant to say negative lft and don't feel unwell

Daisyroseandhyacinth · 26/06/2022 05:10

Yes. I’ve had it and couldn’t work out what was wrong with me. LFT negative.
