Positive vibes for dh please (he is having a liver biopsy as we speak)

Dh has been on a trial for a medication to treat his psoriatic arthrits for the past 6 months. Now his liver enzymes are elevated. He is in surgery having a biopsy to determine why this is happening. Positve vibes and reassurance need that the proceedure goes well and there are no sinister results.

COV, positive vibes going your way. DH was on Methotraxate for his PsA and had to be taken off, though thankfully not for liver problems.

I'm sure it is nothing and just a reaction to the medication (which in itself is a pain because it was really helping) but you just can't help that niggly feeling it is something more serious.

DH was also on methotrexate but taken off because of liver problems, so hopefully this is the same.

I hope it goes well - I'll be thinking of him. Which drug is he trialling?

He was doing a dosage trial for enbrel (etanercept).

Good luck! it sounds likely that it is a similar issue to before.

Well he has just phoned me. Sounded drunk (the proceedure was done under local but they gave him some valium too). He is a bit sore and has to be monitored for 5 hours before he can leave. Fingers crossed for positive results.

Well he ended up having to stay in overnight as his blood pressure was all over the place. Hopefully he should be out tomorrow. Not sure when the results will be avaliable, hopefully not a long wait.
