Positive vibes for dh please (he is having a liver biopsy as we speak)

Dh has been on a trial for a medication to treat his psoriatic arthrits for the past 6 months. Now his liver enzymes are elevated. He is in surgery having a biopsy to determine why this is happening. Positve vibes and reassurance need that the proceedure goes well and there are no sinister results.

Fingers crossed (we need an emoticon) that he is home today and that the results are good.

How is DH today COV ?

His b.p. has stabalised so he will be discharged later this morning. I am going to drive into London (I am in Surrey) to fetch him this afternoon to save him taking the train. He is still quite sore, but otherwise fine. I'm not sure how llong we have to wait for the results though. Thanks again for all the good wishes.

He is now home and looks terrible. Has dark patches under his eyes, a big dressing on his neck where they "went in" and is in a lot of pain. I have made him an appointment with the gp in the morning to see if they can do somethimg to make him more comfortable

Oh dear CoV. Hope he got some sleep and feels better today.

MrsJohnCusack · 11/01/2008 07:41

oh I'd sent some if I'd seen this....hope the GP can do something for him and he is OK

onlyjoking9329 · 11/01/2008 09:58

hope his doctor was able to help him with the pain.

DR was reluctant to give him any stronger pain relief than he was recommended by the hopital (just ibruprofen) due to the fact they are investigating his liver (which I guess is sensible but..) anyway he went to work at about 11am and back by 5pm. Is less sore but now worried about dd's birthday party tomorrow as there has been a couple of cases of this D+V bug in her class and he is concerned he will catch it and (a) vomitting/retching with this bruised open wound in his neck will be painful and (b) he has to fly to America on Monday for a week for work will be a "delight" if he has a D+V bug.
