Have you always bruised easily?

I have a mild platlet disorder that causes spontanious brusing and I bruise easlity too.

Avoid asprin as it thins the blood and make hemmorage (brusining undder the skin) more likely.

Monkeytrousers · 08/01/2008 23:44

ask gp to go see a blood specialist and have a bleeding test?

Beauregard · 08/01/2008 23:45

Yes have always bruised easily especially on my legs ,so does my mom but i wondered if it had got worse because of my diet.

Beauregard · 08/01/2008 23:46

Would a disorder not have been picked up in other blood tests though Monkeytrousers?

arnica is good for shock` too but esepecially for bruising. try a theaputic dose for a week or so.\get the gp to do a test for anaemia. include more green veg and lentils in your diet until you get the results. try spatonetoo its awater with naturla iron in it.handy!

Mine wasn't till I was in my mid 20s PFnM and only after I had a timed bleeding test to see how long it took for your blood to clot.

Beauregard · 08/01/2008 23:49

Thanks
That is interesting about the B12 Kerry .
It says that a symptom of is depression, which i have had half my life.

Monkeytrousers · 08/01/2008 23:49

it's a very mild disorder BTW, all I really have to do is avoid asprin

Beauregard · 08/01/2008 23:50

Thanks i will have to mention it.
I am trying to avoid the Gp though as i seem to always have something wrong and it is getting embarrassing,if i am not there for myself it's for the dd's.

I'm veggie too. You know to drink juice or eat fruit after meals to help iron absorbsion? And avoid tea/coffee after meals as they inhibit it?

Monkeytrousers · 08/01/2008 23:52

a really good all rounder vitamin supplimebt is Pharmaton.

Beauregard · 08/01/2008 23:52

no i didn't know that ,i am a very ignorant veggie as i am only veggie by phobia not on principle.
