Ouch, Essbee, this sounds horrid, I hope you're feeling better this am. I had gut infections when living abroad and although I didn't have bleeding, my tummy got very swollen and tender, esp on one side. A/b's were v effective! Take care.

How are you today, essbee?

KangaMummy · 23/11/2004 10:03

I have been thinking about you essbee

I am not medical in any way

but DH had a stomach ulcer on an artery and he vomited red blood but black blood came out other end.

He was told it was because it had been through intestines, so am a bit confused as you mentioned earlier that it was dark red.

I am just wondering if that means it is from the intestines?

Like I said I am not medical in any way so do not want to confuse the issue it was just what I had been thinking.

Hope you are feeling better this morning

Lou, I wondered about colitis too. My mum has recently developed this but it is responding very well to basic medication. How are you today essbee?
