Weird virus - anyone else had it?

ludocris · 08/04/2022 19:31

For the past few days I've had the following set of symptoms:

  • headache
  • thirst/dehydration
  • chills
  • queasy tummy
  • loose bowels/wind
  • mild nausea
  • loss of appetite
  • lightheaded

It's mostly felt like a bad hangover. It's easing off now but it's been a strange one. One of my colleagues has had exactly the same symptoms, yet I've not seen him in person for a few weeks. He said he's spoken to a few people who seem to have very similar symptoms.

Just wondered whether anyone else has experienced this?

Yep, me and DH have it here. Miserable. Feels a bit long covidy to me.

makeminealargeplease · 08/04/2022 19:34

I'm guessing you've done an LFT?

ReadyToMoveIt · 08/04/2022 19:35

You know everyone is going to tell you it’s covid OP!

But yes, it has just gone through our family too. All tested consistently negative for covid, so must have been some other virus.

tintodeverano2 · 08/04/2022 19:36

Well those are the exact symptoms I had when I had covid. 8 weeks later and my stomach still isn't right.

PragmaticWench · 08/04/2022 19:41

It's covid, everyone is getting these symptoms with negative LFTs.

ReadyToMoveIt · 08/04/2022 19:41

@PragmaticWench

So how do they know it’s covid? We had these symptoms with negative LFT’s and PCR’s
WhatTheWhoTheWhatThe · 08/04/2022 19:43

Sounds like all my covid symptoms, negative lateral flow for a few days and then a positive PCR

ChardonnaysPetDragon · 08/04/2022 19:45

I had it, and it was COVID.

Negative tests at first, and a couple of faint positive ones later.

TeaAddict235 · 08/04/2022 19:45

Have you had Covid already in the past?

ludocris · 08/04/2022 19:47

Yes I had covid in January. It was mainly head cold type symptoms and a lingering muting of my taste buds.

OP posts:
GCITC · 08/04/2022 19:48

That's how my COVID started a couple of weeks ago

ludocris · 08/04/2022 19:51

Hmmmm maybe it is covid again.

The new variants are testing negative LFT AND PCR. It's most likely Covid OP. 1:14 people have it so highly likely.

ReadyToMoveIt · 08/04/2022 19:52

Told you everyone would tell you it’s covid Grin.
Ours wasn’t covid. Whole family tested negative consistently on LFT’s and we all tested negative on PCR.
Other viruses still exist.

Sapphireskies · 08/04/2022 19:56

Sounds like Covid I had some of those symptoms

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 08/04/2022 19:56

I've just had it. Tested negative every day all through it.

dumdumduuuummmmm · 08/04/2022 19:57

@ReadyToMoveIt blood tests

So there have been 8 confirmed cases of this new variant? In France?

dumdumduuuummmmm · 08/04/2022 20:01

@ReadyToMoveIt sigh...no. This is just one random article online. There are many. I attached one - a random one just to give a hint if evidence far I'm not a looney making shit up. I'm sorry I have not attached all of them. My mistake. Next time I shall be more thoughtful

MistySkiesAfterRain · 08/04/2022 20:03

I felt really tired last week, really fuzzy. Then found out I had been near someone with Covid. Tested negative. I then had my booster and felt like colossal shit for three days. Was 50% normal last week. Now 25% normal again.

I have had diarrhoea, I don't feel like I can breathe very well, not very hungry and quite light headed. And for no apparent reason I have a trapped nerve in my shoulder. Feel really sicky and anxious.

Thank you 👍

Very likely to be covid but there is also a big going around.

In children hepatitis is going around and these are similar symptoms.

Apparently the norovirus is also doing the rounds.

MRSAHILL · 09/04/2022 13:07

How are you today OP? I've just found your thread as I've been searching for these same symptoms as I'm experiencing them too. I've been like this for just over a week now and keep testing negative.
