What's wrong with my hand?!?

Finger started swelling this morning, and is itching because it is swelling, like when skin stretches in pregnancy.
Doesn't feel too hot but am struggling to bed finger now and between 3 ish and 5.30 it spread to my hand. I drew a line and went to see the pharmacist who said it was very strange and just to take piriton and rub some hydrocortisone on it. How long do you think it'll be until I see an improvement? Anyone got an experience of this?

It always amuses me how some people fail to grasp that many people genuinely do not have friends / family / help that can suddenly step in and help with childcare.

My dh is no contact with his family. All of them. My mum is dead. I have no other family. We have two dc, one of whom has complex needs and attends specialist school. We have no friends who can babysit, no neighbours we’d leave them with. No one. I have chronic disabilities and if I am unwell then it’s down to dh to step in and I know I’m lucky in that regard- if I was a single parent they would end up in short term foster care (and that’s often not suddenly available either)!

Have been back to hospital this morning. It's much better and I need to keep up with the antibiotics. If it starts swelling again I need to call them. They still don't definitely know what caused it. But look at it now 😄

It does look much better! Odd that they can’t tell you what it is.

Swabs obviously but they sometimes take 48hrs

It's clearly a bite, you can still see it on the last pic. Hope you're doing OK op
