Not really an AIBU but posting here for traffic - name changed because, well, this is weird and embarrassing and it isn't the first time it's happened and I want to know if it's ever happened to any of you:

Last night I had a really bad, very vivid, dream about my best friend who's recently had a baby, whereby she collapsed and was taken to hospital leaving me to look after her newborn - cue me wandering around her "house" looking for a loo as I needed to pee....

You can guess what's coming can't you; I dreamt I'd found a loo and proceeded to relieve myself, then woke up realising I'd ACTUALLY PEE'D Blush jumped up to dash to the "real life" loo but it was too late and all the pee came gushing out *TMI WARNING** as it had collected 'inside' me Blush

Spent the next 20 minutes cleaning myself up and changing my pj's and desperately hoping DH and DD wouldn't come into the bathroom wondering what the hell was going on....

As I said, this isn't the first time this has happened, and I've tried to mitigate it by not drinking much before bed, but when you're deep asleep, and dreaming of being on the toilet, I'm not sure there's much you can do really

Please tell me I'm not the only one this has happened to!

I used to have this dream when I was a child. It stopped for a long time. But now as a middle aged lady, it does happen again. In fact I even dream that I touch the handle of the toilet and the seat and say it’s real, I’m not dreaming, then when I go... I wake up mid gush and have to leg it to the loo.

Utterly bonkers. I'm not sure it's anatomically possible whatever the size.

It is stored in your bladder and comes out via your urethra.

I have dreams I'm having a wee but I wake up and then desperately need to go! Have you tried limiting your fluid intake much earlier. Don't have a drink after dinner

Are you under a lot of stress at the moment? In my early twenties this happened to me about three times over a few months. Including once when DP (now DH) was in bed with me!!!

It's never happened since and I was experiencing an exceptional amount of stress and grief at the time and that's the only reason why I can think of.

I work in the NHS so yes, work is quite stressful at the moment

OP I genuinely mean this in the kindest way, you need to learn about your body and how it works. Your weight won’t affect how your holes are arranged “down there”. Wee doesn’t collect in your vagina. Do a quick google or speak to your GP.

Because this is exactly what the toilet troll posts about I'm afraid, especially when putting it on AIBU to get as much traffic as possible. If you want to be believed with stories like this, then do the NC and people can see for themselves you've been here years. If it's a story to embarrassing to share unless you NC, best not to share at all.

I'm not sure how I can explain it any better

I'm lying in bed, on my side, fast asleep with my legs closed and the pee goes from my urethra (yes I am aware of where the pee comes out) and because I'm fat the pee can't go anywhere other than inside my vagina (I won't go so far as to draw a sodding diagram)

I know it sounds fucking ridiculous - and a grown woman peeing herself while asleep is! But I can assure you, that's what happens

If I was asleep on my back, legs akimbo, then of course the pee would just go on the bed

I didn't come here to debate the legitimacy of what happens

I came to ask if anyone else has had the same experience. if you haven't, kindly move on - don't feel like you have to comment, because you really don't

Well that's what it feels like, I dream I'm peeing then I wake up and shoot out of bed and it all just gushes out

with all due respect, you need to learn that not everyone is physically the same "down there"

I don't mean my urethra and vagina

But my anatomy has changed since having DD and things got stretched and didn't return to normal
