Neon yellow pee!

Zoink · 25/11/2020 17:43

So for the last three days I've had neon yellow pee! I haven't eaten anything unusual. Mostly fruit, veg and salmon.

I do take a multivitamin. Google said something about too much vitamin D but I can't have eaten that much veg! Just a large portion each day.

Any ideas?

Are you drinking enough? Odd coloured urine can be a sign of dehydration.

Slipper2 · 25/11/2020 17:44

I recently started taking Wellwoman vitamins and now I have a late morning neon pee every day, can't be a coincidence!

DaanSaaf · 25/11/2020 17:46

Have you had a barrocca?

Plonque · 25/11/2020 17:46

Do you take berocca? Or any drink type vitamin, my pee is bright after my soluble vitamin c tablet/drink.

bruffin · 25/11/2020 17:48

The vitamins can cause it,

Luckynut · 25/11/2020 17:49

I get this whenever I take a Berocca soluble vitamin. So my guess is the multivit!

Plonque · 25/11/2020 17:50

My pee is cloudy, anyone want to take a punt at the reason why that might be? Grin
The last few days it's been consistently like cloudy apple juice 🤔

Pechanga · 25/11/2020 17:51

This also happens to me after I've had a berrocca!

McRibpain · 25/11/2020 17:51

Uti?

McRibpain · 25/11/2020 17:52

That was to @plonque

GreyishDays · 25/11/2020 17:53

B vitamins do it.

Stop taking them for one day and you’ll see.

TheSpottedZebra · 25/11/2020 17:54

Agree it's high strength B vitamins, also found in Berocca!

Plonque · 25/11/2020 17:55

@McRibpain

Uti?

I feel ok, I did have a short instance of some abdominal griping pain the other day but nothing since. And the pain could be attributed to a food intolerance that I may have consumed at the weekend.
Thanks! I'll keep an eye on it though. If it carries on past tomorrow I'll ring docs.

helloxhristmas · 25/11/2020 17:55

Vitamins.

Staywithmemyblood · 25/11/2020 17:56

Yup, it’s due to the vitamin tablet 😬

Asparagus?

Harmarsuperstar · 25/11/2020 17:59

Yes it's due to B vitamins. Your body gets rid of the excess that it doesn't need.

Bubbinsmakesthree · 25/11/2020 18:01

Just came on here to say vitamins but I see I have been beaten to it. I take a daily strength multivitamin and I’ve forgotten what normal colour urine looks like! Grin

Zoink · 25/11/2020 18:03

@Watto1 2 litres or water a day!

OP posts:
Zoink · 25/11/2020 18:05

Ah okay - thanks all! So I can just continue? Funnily enough tho, I've been taking the vitamin for months and only this week has my pee gone neon!

Fuckityfucksake · 25/11/2020 18:11

B vits do it to me too

youkiddingme · 25/11/2020 18:13

Excess water soluble vits - usually B vits or C, asparagus, food colouring, some kinds of spirulina all make my pee bright green/yellow.

Plonque - cloudy urine can often by a symptom of a UTI. Or mild dehydration. I think a lot of vit D can make it cloudy too.

Montybojangles · 25/11/2020 18:15

B vits if it’s an excessive dose to your requirement. Perhaps you were previously deficient, so no vit in pee, but are now replete, so peeing out excess.

goldenharvest · 25/11/2020 18:25

Vitamin b complex will do this.
