Sorry for the tmi but just looking advice/reassurance really. Have severe HA and have an obsession with googling. Have had loose stools the past few days, but have noticed that my stools today have orange mucus in them. Just wondering has anyone else had this? Due to the HA I've lost my appetite so its definitely not something I've eaten.

Hello, my poop is exactly like yours, I have also not been able to find what it is, I have an appointment with GI doctor, its a long wait though. I am thinking of going private cause it is giving me anxiety too. Did you find the cause?

yarncakes · 25/11/2020 20:38

I get this sometimes as well, mainly just plain orange mucus when I, ahem, let it rip.. but I suffer from IBS caused by stress so it can be due to that. Are you stressed or do you have IBS symptoms along with it?

Anbis · 26/11/2020 01:27

This has definitely been a stressful year for me, I have never been diagnosed with IBS and prior to this year had no worrying issues with digestion. my other symptoms are gas, random abdominal pains, I was constipated for a while but thankfully that resolved with a change in diet.

Helendee · 26/11/2020 19:44

I have had this for years and definitely think it’s my IBS.

ANGIE252525 · 06/04/2021 06:08

What's the doctor told you ? I have same case

Londonnight · 06/04/2021 06:40

It could be caused by bile acid malabsorption, gutscharity.org.uk/advice-and-information/conditions/bile-acid-malabsorption/

I have this, mine is caused by not having a gall bladder.

I thought this was going to be a baby nappy thread. Not someone taking a dump, photographing it and posting it on the internet Envy

Mykica · 18/04/2021 09:06

Hello :)
Did you find the cause? I have the same for the last 6 months. But I’m afraid to go check it :(

MLOD123 · 10/07/2021 04:20

Hi did you ever get this investigated? I have the same

MLOD123 · 10/07/2021 04:20

Hi did you ever get it looked at. I’m the same as you, too scared to go.

MucusStuff · 21/07/2021 16:53

Did anyone find out what causes the mucus because the other day I had a poo that was just an nog and a whole load of mucus

littlejo67 · 21/07/2021 18:24

It's normal to have mucus in your bowel. It's there to lubricate your bowel.
It's normal for it to get stained by the pigments in the food you eat....

.

Lemons1571 · 02/08/2021 18:58

@MoonminMama123 did you ever find out what caused it? Did it go away?

Shockednshook · 28/06/2022 17:36

I'm sorry but this comment although written ages ago made me literally laugh out loud! Lot of people with orange mucus in their poop it seems 😂😂😂

Anxiousmummy1187 · 20/10/2022 16:37

I have it too I came across this 😂 must be common for a lot of us to have it. I do probably think it’s ibs related

Anxiousmummy1187 · 20/10/2022 16:37

I also had stool tested and a fit test for stool and all normal just mild inflammation due to Ibs if anyone comes and sees it again

golddustwomen · 20/10/2022 16:41

Jesus this is one of those where my being way too fucking curious/nosey really backfires in my face Blush

Me too. I suspect it’s related to the OP constipation.

RumHam · 20/10/2022 17:07

I had this last week after eating stovies. Assumed it was just all the fat and carrot colouring mixing together 😂

gamerchick · 20/10/2022 17:11

Who tf d

gamerchick · 20/10/2022 17:11

Ug this up? Hmm

lovelilies · 20/10/2022 17:25

It's lubricant made by your gut to help the (very constipated) stool put.
Basically the poo is to hard and dry to pass by itself so needs the goop to help it slide out.

More fibre, fluids etc needed!

coldfeetmama · 20/10/2022 17:34

Please can we let this Zombie thread go down the pan !

WorryingMu · 05/06/2023 17:38

Hi. I’m experiencing the same problem and waiting for GI appointment. Couldn’t put my mind in ease and constantly worrying about it. If anyone found the reason behind, pls update here

Mommy786 · 09/09/2023 06:54
