sounds like thrush

wildpatch · 29/09/2007 08:41

go see a nurse, or doctor.
soap stininging means some sort of cut or abrasions.
cycling gives a sore fanjo. i know only too well.
dryness, well, he didnt get you excited enough did he?

loopylou6 · 29/09/2007 08:41

when i had thrush i only had a bit of itching, it was mainly pain like u describe, i didnt go docs but i did buy oral thrush treatment and it worked a treat.

NotQuiteCockney · 29/09/2007 08:43

You don't want to be using a lot of soap there, even if you're not sore. Could be thrush, could be abrasions. I'd try to let the area rest and breathe, see if that helps ... Thrush is more itchy, imo, and there's an unpleasant smell and unusual discharge, neither of which you've mentioned ...

NotQuiteCockney · 29/09/2007 08:44

Oh, and FGS, if you're a bit dry, don't have intercourse! Use lube, or wait until you're wetter, but don't have intercourse while dry! That's probably the source of the problem!

(Any chance you're menopausal? Or taking antihistamines? I think those cause vaginal dryness, too.)

thrush i think....go the chemistand get the duo treatment...tablet then cream to soothe the burning, dont use soap down there it will make it worse

TransparentNamechange · 29/09/2007 08:47

I didn't think I was dry when we started. Everything had been really quite entirely satisfactory

Then when we did the deed I said "ouch oh god" and he said "you are actually rather dry up the top"

Everyone has days where there's more or less moisture. You don't want to be shagging if you're dry anywhere.

I think you may just be a bit tender. Unless you have a bad smell or strange discharge, I don't think this is thrush. I think air and a bit of time will help.

TransparentNamechange · 29/09/2007 08:49

So what made me tender in the first place? I was a bit sore during the day, when I wiped after using the loo

NQC I should have just emailed you in the first place

OP posts:
loopylou6 · 29/09/2007 08:49

TransparentNamechange · 29/09/2007 08:50

(I really should NOT have been dry. I had already had an orgasm)

OP posts:
TransparentNamechange · 29/09/2007 08:51

you shouldn't use any soaps there, not even mild ones. Just clean with water.

It sounds like it could be thrush - I think you can buy a treatment over the counter.

NotQuiteCockney · 29/09/2007 08:52

She's not got itching either, though.

Hmmm, dunno, sometimes bits just get sore. Change of weather, putting on the central heating, making the air too dry? Are you drinking enough water?

loopylou6 · 29/09/2007 08:52

TNC ok heres what i would do, would get some thrush stuff just incase (process of elimination ) then i would go and run a bath, chuck LOTS of salt in there, have a good long soak in the salt water, do the thrush treatment and see how it is over the weekend.

belgo · 29/09/2007 08:52

you don't always get a discharge with thrush.

NotQuiteCockney · 29/09/2007 08:52

Lubrication really does vary. Cycle, how hydrated you are, etc etc.

belgo · 29/09/2007 08:53

can you use and hand mirror to have a look?
