I don't put soap inside

I think it may be thrush, it just feels that kind of sensitive / not right feeling

have some cream somewhere I think - dp needs it as well does he? I've forgotten

I would have a bath but with some sort of v mild oil in it (possibly just a capful of olive oil, or baby oil, or whatever) ... would salt really help? If the area is tender and possibly abraded, salt water might hurt. [wince]

TransparentNamechange · 29/09/2007 08:54

"have a look"

oh noooooooooooooooooooo thank you LOL

it takes a braver woman than me to look up there these days

NotQuiteCockney · 29/09/2007 08:56

Well, if it feels like thrush, it may well be.

belgo · 29/09/2007 08:59

yes your dp should treat for thrush as well.

lol at not wanting to look.

Using different bath stuff can change the 'environment' down there, encouraging thrush to develop.

Arse, feck, I never work out name changers. But "you are actually rather dry up the top" sounded like something someone I knew would say.

NotQuiteCockney · 29/09/2007 09:03

I have a v bad history with thrush, last time I got it, I ended up at some special clinic, and alarmed the staff. This was after what seemed like weeks of trying to treat it naturally (yogurt, garlic, the whole tzatziki thing).

TransparentNamechange · 29/09/2007 09:05

LOL I was not really trying to hide, I thought you would know who I was from the start

just didn't want this to be searchable under my usual name

OP posts:
TransparentNamechange · 29/09/2007 09:06

I used to have it now and then, but not lately

hence the question - I can't totally remember what it feels like

OP posts:
NotQuiteCockney · 29/09/2007 09:06

That makes sense - it's hardly a deeply embarassing problem, is it.

NotQuiteCockney · 29/09/2007 09:07

I've barely ever had it. But last time was with a trip to Paris and much misery.

In the clinic, I met a poor Swiss girl who had repeated UTIs and believed she was getting them from public toilet seats. I despair sometimes. (Yes, I did explain things to her ... don't know why the hell the clinic staff weren't helping!)

NotQuiteCockney · 29/09/2007 09:08

(Did I send you an email saying the friend with the mystery has explained, and it is "just" booze? Her DP was hospitalised for two nights after getting legless. I can't imagine how drunk you'd have to be for that to happen!)

TransparentNamechange · 29/09/2007 09:14

oh yes you did! sorry I didn't reply yet

dp is now planning different ways to drop the phrase "this is actually a bit dry up the top" into polite party conversation tomorrow

thank you everyone for your help btw, I think I will probably wait and see if it gets worse or better, and perhaps treat for thrush in a day or two if no improvement.

Annoyingly, I have found a way to annoy you tomorrow, which I am planning not to do (you won't be there, I know, but I can annoy you nonetheless), but not any obvious way to annoy Mr TNC.
