How to make my face look healthier

Hi, I'm trying to loose some weight but first thing which looses weight is my face. I don't starve myself and I eat healthily yet i look as if I spent some weeks in a hospital and haven't been out in the fresh air for month. My face looks tired and worn out. Can you suggest may be some natural remidies I could try. May be I need some creams or specia; excersises for my face? Ta.

Hi fedda, I do sympathise. I'm not a great user of potions, but have just a couple of thoughts.
One, might you be anaemic, which causes pallor and circles under they eyes? A multivitamin which includes iron might help with this. (I'm not a doctor, not suitable in pregnancy etc etc caveats).
Secondly I find the best thing for me is a good workout, running or cycling or swimming, whatever you can do to get really hot and bothered. Your face and eyes should sparkle for a few hours afterwards.
Finally what about make up?
I went for a free makeup consultation with Bobbi Brown cosmetics, and they sold me a really nice foundation stick and lip/cheek cream blusher to use. Expensive but worth it as I'm still using them a year later for special occasions. I'm early forties and the makeup has really changed since my 20's and the thinking is less is more. Stopping smoking helps obviously if this is an issue.

curiouscat, thank you very much. Your guess is right, I'm anaemic form the age of 12. Nothing serious but that's what i have. I do walk a fair bit and I dance every night for 20 minutes but my face looks so worn out, I don't like looking at myself. I've lost a bit of weight but I'm not slim but my fave would much a dangerously skinny person. I wonder how common that is. So far i haven't met anyone with this issue. Anyway, thank you for your help. If anyone has any more suggestions, I'd appresiate your advice. Ta.

i agreee with thevitamins thing. take some supplements.but see a kinesiologist first perhaps, so you know you are taking the right ones.
but asides from the vitamins, i would suggest upping your intake of fresh fruit.
and of course normal skin care routines

maybe also treat yourself to a nice moisturiser and/or tinted moisturiser/bronzer that will give your face a bit of glow

Clarins and Benefit do some really nice things.

Scrub! I have a bamboo scrub gel that I use after washing my face in the morning and it gives such smoothness and glow.

There is also a clear blush gel thing in Sephora that you apply just a little bit on your cheekbones under your eyes and a bit over your nose. Supposedly takes on color depending on your skin's own shade. It gives a slight reddish color to your cheeks as if you have spent an hour or two in the sun. Highly recommended.

i use tesco's own skin wisdom 'visibly radiant' tinted moisturiser on my pallid days.....worth a try for a cheap fix

Lancome flash bronzer gel for the face!! It is awesome stuff - fairly expensive but will last ages. Exfoliate then smother some on before going to bed and in the morning you will look 100% better, I guarantee it

I weas kin of hoping I could eat some food which could make my face look healthier. The creams are a bit of a cheating game to me as they don't cure the problem, they just mask it. Oh. wouldn't it be marvellous to have a slim figure and a good looking face? I'm tired of my tired face!

This is purely cosmetic but I love this

to improve overall appearance of skin I would be eating healthy fats such as avocado, nuts and seeds. These will work with your weight loss diet as they will help you feel satiated.

Try drinking lots of water.

I try to consume around 2L a day and it really does make a big difference to your complextion.

Be prepared for lots of visits to the loo, all the water will flush toxins out of your body.

If you want a natural remedy, fedda, try honey. Any kind of runny honey. Just smear it on your face, leave it for ten minutes, and rinse it off with cool water. If softens the skin, and rids it of impurities.
