How to make my face look healthier

fedda · 24/09/2007 21:53

Hi, I'm trying to loose some weight but first thing which looses weight is my face. I don't starve myself and I eat healthily yet i look as if I spent some weeks in a hospital and haven't been out in the fresh air for month. My face looks tired and worn out. Can you suggest may be some natural remidies I could try. May be I need some creams or specia; excersises for my face? Ta.

Too true. Even her donkey looks good by comparison ..

cocolepew · 26/09/2007 19:36

A bottle of wine drunk in a hot room always makes me look much healthier/younger. Though it tends to wear off in the morning.

Failing that, water and make-up.

morningglory · 26/09/2007 20:20

Cardiovascular excerise (including lots of sex ).

Otherwise, a bronzer(like Guerlin) does amazing things for the skin. Wear it as a blusher and a lighter dusting on your forehead, nose, chin.

I like the idea of honey. Yes, natural remidies are my first choice. Thank you so very much.

Ah, good

And for exfoliation, a palm full of honey and a spoonful of sugar.

TnOgu · 26/09/2007 21:53

Water - you can't beat it

< damn >

Desiderata · 26/09/2007 21:59

Ew, slip ons or velcro for me, TnOgu. I can't master laces yet

... but of course, fedda, as my sister says, water is the key of life .... as well as honey!

TnOgu · 26/09/2007 22:01

lol

you have to have the last word Desi

I don't have you down as a, slip on, kind of gal

WotsZePoint · 26/09/2007 22:07

pollywollydoodle · 26/09/2007 22:17

lots of fruit and veg and salmon/other oily fish and water

fresh air

sex/other chosen excercise

exfoliate with sugar in a bit of olive oil/honey

if all else fails i stand in the pension queue at the post office....

fedda · 26/09/2007 22:29

I see, I'll try hiney, wate, fruit and veg. Would that be enough to get my face better?

OP posts:
pollywollydoodle · 26/09/2007 22:33

i guess they will all make some difference...

fedda · 26/09/2007 22:34

You don't sound convincing...

OP posts:
pollywollydoodle · 26/09/2007 22:38

no i meant that positively, anything helps but i also think eating fish getting outside in the fresh air and getting some sort of excercise help me too....

fedda · 26/09/2007 22:39

youghurt face masks are excellent. but its too cold in englad for them righ tnow i think

fedda · 27/09/2007 15:59

So, I can have yougurt mask for about 20 minutes and then wash it off with warm water. Am I correct in this?

two things I know really have worked on the skin part anyway

the l'oreal micro dermabrasion kit

and mineral makeup I love lilylolo you cahn get samples for 25p and try it

hunkermunker · 27/09/2007 16:05

I found my skin always looks best when I eat fruit for breakfast - just fruit. Big bowl of strawberries, kiwi, raspberries, blueberries, grapes - try that, maybe? And drink lots of water.

fedda · 27/09/2007 16:06

Thank you but I'd rather use natural remidies, not even the stuff from health shops but the things which worked for generations. Sorry for being fussy.

Fedda

You could try doing facial exercises. Sounds weird I know but the face is made of muscles so why not when we exercise other muscles.

I haven't done it for ages and should really. When I was doing it I swear I noticed a difference and your face feels great afterwards.

The book I've got is by Eva Frasier and my understanding is she's a bit of a guru on the subject - try google/amazon as I think she does DVDs etc too. She looks amazing and I think is in her 70s.

Must go and dig my book out.

wildpatch · 27/09/2007 16:36

keep the youghurt on as long as you like, and yes, washoff with warm water.

Piffle · 27/09/2007 17:45

mineral make up is natural

fedda · 27/09/2007 22:46

Thank you so much everybody for your kind advice. I'll try some tips and let you know if there is any difference. I suspect I'm not going to win this buttle as my health is plaing tricks on me. Anyway, i can try, there is no harm in trying.
