Heel cracks

Has anyone ever suffered from these? I had what looked like deep cracks in my heels. So I exfoliated them, but perhaps too much as now the cracks are open and bleeding. Every time I walk I leave spots of blood behind.
Plasters won’t stick, I’ve put on chapped heel cream about 8 times today.
How do I make them heal?
Every time I walk on them they split open again.

It’s like having paper cuts on the soles of my feet.
Hurts so bad.
Had a google and one suggested superglue?

Soak for 20 mins, slather in neutrogena before bed. Do this for 3 days. Then use a pedi to rub off excess crust. Then Neutrogena before bed.

I'd be wary about superglue or anything like that in an open wound. I really suffer from this too. I use Scholls foot cream for cracked heels. I also get regular pedicures (in normal times). You might need to see a chiropodist at this stage if you can find one open (or as soon as they do).
After treatment try using a pumice stone when you bathe. But go easy!

I get this from wearing flip-flops in non flip-flop weather.
I occasionally when I remember, I should do it more moisturise them. But I do love a good file down of the heel with some foot sandpaper. 😁

How long have they been bleeding? Don’t put super glue on them, that’s just going to make it worse, some real batshit things are suggested on line.

You just need to give them time to heal. Keep them clean, clean soft socks during the day then nothing at night, Then use some treatment for cracked heels when they have healed,

Flexitol cream morning and night, although don't use until the bleeding has stopped (otherwise it stings like crazy!)

You need to keep using it. Takes about a week or so to work.
Try to avoid flip-flops too. My chiropodist told me years ago that they're awful for cracked heels.

You need to keep the skin hydrated so that it moves when you walk.

I would suggest getting a tub of warm water and soaking them while you watch tv, dry them once they've soaked enough and put on heavy cream and then socks. Try to wear socks over heavy foot cream at all times, going barefoot will just dry them out more.

Once they've healed a bit you can try and get rid of some of the dead skin, the most effective thing I've found to do this is a chiropody sponge. You just soak your feet and run them with the went sponge, the same as you would a pumice stone.

Get some Flexitol heel balm. It is for cracked heels.

Use soap not shower gel.
Moisturiser.
No bare feet wear socks or / and shoes.

Shit they do hurt
I use a lip moisturiser stick on them a couple of times a day and the cut heals quite quickly.

I am also very prone to that problem.

I use Epaderm cream twice a day and an electric hard skin remover with the most coarse rollers available. I'd choose a cable version over batteries so it always works at 100%

I thought I was using a cream that was good for cracked heels. I was not.

Flexitol cured the cracked bleeding heels I'd had for years in a week and they never came back.

Blister plasters! This was the advice of a chiropodist & it’s genius. Slap them on & you can walk without pain all while they are being softened by the plaster. The blister plaster Lets the crack heal from the bottom up.
Scrub when the plaster comes off in the shower & slap another on repeat until healed then flexitol & regular scrubbing to keep them a bay.

Germoline Liquid Plaster.

I get cracks
On the tips of my thumb and they're so painful. Speed the liquid over the broken area and it dries quickly. Forms a waterproof barrier and allows the crack to heal underneath.

As it a your feet, and you obviously use them a lot, I don't know quickly or effective this'll be. But it really helps with the pain on my thumbs and heals them up really quickly.

It will sting for a few seconds once you apply but so worth it

Slathered cream on tonight and put socks on.

I put loads of Vaseline on mine and big comfy bed socks. Do it before you go to bed and will be a massive improvement in a few days.

Boots or any other pharmacy type shop. The boots own brand equivalent, also with urea, is pretty good.

I use it at night, but not in the day as I don't like the feel to walk on, and also that's probably why your plasters won't stick. If I've got a crack or two and I'm going to be walking, I make sure my feet aren't still greased from the night before, and apply a bit of flexitol onto the pad in the middle of a large enough plaster to put on them.

Flexitol is brilliant stuff.

I soak my feet once a week in listerine and white vinegar with hot water. For About half an hour. Then I use this black rectangular stone like thing to exfoliate any hard skin. I got it in savers. You wet the stone and your feet are wet too. Then rinse and dry off then apply loads of flexitol and put socks on. Apply again morning and night.

My feet were so sore for ages until I did this. The relief after the first time was immense!

Where to get Flexitol cream please?

It has to be the Heel Balm. There are lots of different Flexitol products and some of them are labelled cream. You don't want the cream.

Covered my feet in heel balm, only a cheapy home bargains version, put socks on, went to bed, stood up this morning and the cracks re opened and started bleeding again.
Going to order flexitol for nights and blister plasters for days see if that helps.

I suffered with this earlier this year. I soaked my sore heels twice a day in warm very salty water. It healed then very quickly. I didn't put anything else on. They were so sore at the start that I couldn't bear for them to rest on my mattress at night. I did manage to stick a large plaster on though.

The compeed blister plasters are great. Check the sizes, as they vary. They are designed to stay on for several days. It’s a good idea to hold them in your hands for a few seconds before applying as they stick better if warmed to skin temp. Use the flexitol on the skin around them, rather than on the cracks.

Don’t take the blister plasters off until they fall off & replace until gone - after the cracks have healed use the cream to prevent more.
