oh my God, it's so painful.

am 34 weeks pregnant (don't know if that's relevant)
and I keep getting this stabbing pain deep in my left tit.

It's been on and off pretty much all day so far.

I've taken my bra off and I've massaged the boob in case it was a blocked milk duct and milk was tryign to start coming through or something.

At a loss as to what it is but it's so painful.

thomcat · 16/08/2007 14:47

Really, do you really think I should call the midwife?????

What if she wantrs me to go in and it's nothing?

CountessDracula · 16/08/2007 14:50

Well better to be safe then sorry I guess
you man have a miniature man with a big pin hiding in your tit and stabbing you for all you know

thomcat · 16/08/2007 15:00

ohhhhh someone say I don't have to call the midwife. It can't be serious, can it????

OP posts:
lissie · 16/08/2007 15:00

im sure its not serious. probably your milk getting ready.

CountessDracula · 16/08/2007 15:01

well if it has been all day and is as painful as you say, what would you advise someone else?

thomcat · 16/08/2007 15:09

I'd advise someone else to run it throught he mangle.

Think Lissie is right, must just be a milk thing.

Having chocolate seems to have helped

Hate going to doctors unless I absolulte HAVE to.

OP posts:
lissie · 16/08/2007 15:11

sit down and carry on massaging it for a few more minutes.

and eat more chocolate!

lucyellensmum · 16/08/2007 15:47

i wouldn't worry, i often get painful breasts, been seen at breast clinic, they not worried.

I think it is a pregnant thing. The only thing that would concern me is possible mastitis, but with that the breasts tend to feel hard and tender, and you might feel rough. So if it were me, i would just take some paracetemol and only go to midwife if you feel rough or it gets worse.

thomcat · 16/08/2007 16:30

No chocolate left but 2 pieces of marble cake seem to be keeping pains at bay

sympathies and all that but 'tit'...really...

thomcat · 16/08/2007 16:33

Yeah TIT.

ohh sorry, should I have called it a NORK, or my brrrrrreast! That's SOOOO much better!

OP posts:
lucyellensmum · 16/08/2007 16:33

dances, well anything is better than Norks!!! i will never, ever EVER say that.

lucyellensmum · 16/08/2007 16:33

DANCESwithDumbledore · 16/08/2007 16:33

Yes, it would have been better

lucyellensmum · 16/08/2007 16:34

tit tit tit tit tit tit

DANCESwithDumbledore · 16/08/2007 16:35
Grin
thomcat · 16/08/2007 16:35

I loathe NORK, ewww, stupid word that reminds me of nasty spaniels ears but crinkly and oversized nipples. YUCK!
And I had a smile on my face as I typed TIT.
And why not?

OP posts:
DANCESwithDumbledore · 16/08/2007 16:37

Why not indeed. I still hate that word though, the sort of derogatory term a certain type of man feels he has to share ie 'nice tits luv'.

lucyellensmum · 16/08/2007 16:39

what type of man? where can i find one

DANCESwithDumbledore · 16/08/2007 16:39

find one and give him a good kick in bollocks I hope...

thomcat · 16/08/2007 16:40

LOL!

I'd rather someone tell me I had 'nice tits' than 'nice norks'!

I say about other women - 'your tits look amazing in that'.

Saying 'your breasts look nice' is wrong, too medical

'boobs' to 70's.

Would never use norks.

What's left?

OP posts:
clutteredup · 16/08/2007 16:43

i had really painful boobs/tits/norks/knockers when pregnant, still get them now when pre menstrual sometimes. just an irritating thing and b**y painful. if it continues i'd talk to your MW otherweise keep up with the choccie

DANCESwithDumbledore · 16/08/2007 16:43

I'd say boobs if I was talking to a friend, I am a child of the seventies though

I also don't like using the word 'bum' for my children I use 'bottom' and 'tummy' not 'belly'. So I'm either an old fart or a prude or just rather naaaAAAice!

lucyellensmum · 16/08/2007 16:44

it would depend on whether he commented or not, im rather proud of my TITS 36FF dont you know! TMI
