Lol.

Marina · 14/09/2004 14:25

I wondered where she was too. Thank goodness a tumbril has not been round to the back door for her yet! Get well soon pph and think hard about which deserving mumsnetter should have your plane ticket...

princesspeahead · 14/09/2004 14:35

aaaaaah, you are so kind!

however i have decided that I can just as easily be ill in the 5* luxury and glamorous surroundings of new york as I can in the pitiful surroundings of my hovel in rainy wiltshire, so am dragging myself on the plane nonetheless. I shall demand hot toddies from room service and feel sorry for myself here

do feel crap though

LadyDragonOfSoup · 14/09/2004 14:39

So there's no chance of me having your ticket then?

sis · 14/09/2004 14:52

I see that all the rooms and suites have high speed internet access so you will be able to keep us updated on your health and shopping.

motherinferior · 14/09/2004 14:57

I like 'whatever the purpose of your visit, convenient'. Am tempted to think of all sorts of things it wouldn't be convenient for.

Have a lovely time, babe, and think of us!

NomDePlume · 14/09/2004 15:05

coddychops · 14/09/2004 15:06

ahm

littlemissbossy · 14/09/2004 15:10

PPH carrying all that shopping when you're ill could prove hard work, so I'll gladly do it - well as long as I can also use your credit card
Have a good time

princesspeahead · 14/09/2004 15:10

look at you flim-flamming around between ladycodsworth and coddychops... you couldn't organise a revolution if your fillets'o'fish depended on it!

now are you going to send me your shopping list or what?

Marina · 14/09/2004 15:26

Is that you singular or plural? Ds needs teeny tiny Gap Y-fronts if you're offering...
Have a super time and feel better soon.
PS Mark Hotel looks ghastly . Are you sure you're up to it?

who will look after your chickens PPH?

aloha · 14/09/2004 15:46

Darling, the staff, of course!

aloha · 14/09/2004 15:47

She's got a little man, you know.

Gingerbear · 14/09/2004 16:18

I have an image of PPH that is a bit like Penelope Keith as Margo in the Good Life, but living in a house in To The Manor Born.

Am I close???? Do you swan about in Kaftans drinking cocktails ?

princesspeahead · 14/09/2004 17:24

Aurgh! There is a problem with the hotel reservation! I may have to stay somewhere else! Oh the stress...

Resemblances between me and penelope keith..... um, nil, I'd say. But she did have a splendid line in kaftans didn't she?

Ooooh, Issy, Sydney.... fantastic. I shall call you re the lettuce leaf in HN on my return, I promise. xx

ps chickens are fine and will be beautifully looked after in my absence, never fear gingerbear...!

ladywallopofcod · 14/09/2004 17:24

yes she has to waera kaftans as she has her " problem"

LadyDragonOfSoup · 14/09/2004 18:47

Oooh - are you creating a shopping list of gifts for MNers then?

ladypotdeconfiture · 14/09/2004 18:56

I'm not sure we've met before PPH but I hope you have a frightfully splendid time in NY in your Hostel
