Well, I have no idea if this is in the correct thread but I got diagnosed with fungal dermatitis 4 days ago...cream and antibiotics-it's now SPREADING! I feel so unwell too! (Tired, very tired and general poorly feeling). Does it look like dermatitis? I will be going to GP tomorrow but just for some reassurance now lol....

Cellulitis

Bluemascara4 · 25/11/2018 22:10

Cellulitis ..... please call 111. You'll need antibiotics. Good luck x

Redskyandrainbows67 · 25/11/2018 22:11

Cellulitis - out of hours doctor now

Redskyandrainbows67 · 25/11/2018 22:11

111, and dont be surprised if you get an ambulance. Got a thermometer? taken your temperature?

Bluemascara4 · 25/11/2018 22:13

I should have read properly.... you're already on antibiotics !

111 please and let us know how you're getting on 💐

HoleyCoMoley · 25/11/2018 22:14

Agree with all above, you need to see a doctor as soon as possible. Flowers

Redskyandrainbows67 · 25/11/2018 22:14

Cellulitis requires a particular type of antibiotic though I think?

bertielab · 25/11/2018 22:15

I would actually 999 it - depends on how rapidly it is spreading - could be other things other than cellulitis -

HollowTalk · 25/11/2018 22:16

I've had too much to drink. It took me three goes to figure out what part of the body it was!

Weirdlookingbricks · 25/11/2018 22:17

I hope you're ok. I'd pack an overnight bag while you wait in case you need to go in for if antibiotics and obs. I'm not medical but I've had this happen to me.

maybe2018 · 25/11/2018 22:17

Temp feels fine- friends sister is a nurse and on her way to me now! Xxx

Draw around the outline with a biro

Weirdlookingbricks · 25/11/2018 22:18

Iv antibiotics. Bloody autocorrect.

popcornwizard · 25/11/2018 22:20

Draw a line around the edges now and you'll be able to check on the speed of the spread, what have 111 said?

HoleyCoMoley · 25/11/2018 22:22

What did 111 say, that really needs treating, hope you feel better soon.

ItsJustSuchAFaff · 25/11/2018 22:23

Could you have had an allergic reaction to the cream or antibiotics? Definitely agree with everyone that it needs to be checked though. Glad you nurse friend is coming to check you over.

bertielab · 25/11/2018 22:24

Sorry I typed out another message after a closer look. I think you need to go NOW to A&E. Internet diagnosis is not my favourite thing but it looks like it could be cellulitis which can develop into sepsis- I don’t want to worry you. Draw around it and write the time. Do you feel hot, what antibiotics ? Cream or oral? Could be an allergic reaction to antibiotic cream etc ? You can phone 111, but I would err on the side of caution and take yourself immediately to a and e.

Fairylea · 25/11/2018 22:25

That does look like cellulitis but it’s difficult to say really! Hope you get some help soon.

Labradoodliedoodoo · 25/11/2018 22:26

Is it painful?

notapizzaeater · 25/11/2018 22:28

How long before the nurse gets to you ? Draw round it so you can track its speed.

MollyHuaCha · 25/11/2018 22:28

Hope you get it sorted quickly.

bertielab · 25/11/2018 22:28

When you say temperature feels fine - have you taken it?

If you have a temperature along with your other symptoms I would want to rule out sepsis and cellulitis.

maybe2018 · 25/11/2018 22:32

My friends sister is on her way-will be here soon! Spreading to my legs, haven't taken my temperature but I feel normal temp in myself....will phone 111 when I get here as have 8 year old in bed so need to have babysitter here on standby if needed!

(Camera is rubbish sorry!!). I'm not usually one for internet diagnosis but I only done this to confirm my usual diagnosis of fungal dermatitis....
