Peter is back in hospital, kink in tube

[misdee]

the cannula tube from his left ventricle has a pretty large dent in it. it started small a few weeks ago and was told to keep an eye on it. today the dent is bigger, so he has had to go back in. he had to take everything with him, all spare machines, batteries, medication, overnight bag etc. no idea what they will propose, to replace the tube means open heart surgery and long recovery time.

i know he must have it if thyey suggest it, the only other oprion is emergency list. which i doubt they will do.

to be honest i am placing my bets on 'lets keep an eye on it for a bit longer'

he got there about 40mins ago and is now on his way home!

BUT they think the dent is from the positioning of the LVAD and its 'wearing'
whatever that means. they are going to re-present him again to the transplant team to try and speed thinsg up, but not going to put him on emergency. TBH i am not happy with this, as any dents or mis-shaping of the tubes is a concern. and i am getting concerned they arent taking this seriously, or our concerns seriously anymore.

They didn't pay much attention to your concerns over the amount of pain he was either, did they?
It's horrible to think it but do you think they pay less attention because he's at home now and they think someone else should be dealing with it?
