Are you feeling panicky/anxious about anything?

hillls · 31/05/2007 20:33

Yes it could be anxiety, is your tongue ok?

Beauregard · 31/05/2007 20:33

I feel anxious now as i am worried about my throat but wasn't consciously feeling anxious prior to it coming on.

morningpaper · 31/05/2007 20:35

Sounds like anxiety to me too

Once it starts it can hang around for a few days

Beauregard · 31/05/2007 20:35

oh sod
thanks
When will it go?

OP posts:
pirategirl · 31/05/2007 20:35

pelvic, i too have them come like that,

out of noowhere. it alsways amazes me that i can be very upset, down abotu something, and have been thru some awful times---and no panic attack,

yet one can be feeling fine, and they can come

normally i get them cos there is soemthing niggling me deep down, or i need a good cry.

NikkiBFG · 31/05/2007 20:36

Deep breaths, take it easy, listen to some relaxing music or...mnet all evening and keep to the funny threads

I get panic attacks too - hate the buggers!

hillls · 31/05/2007 20:36

Yes does sound like a pannic attack brought on by anxiety. Have you any rescue remedy in your house? I was recommended it on here a couple of weeks ago due to these feelings and now I swear by it

Mercy · 31/05/2007 20:37

Does it hurt when you swallow?

I had something similar a couple of years ago and had to see the doctor. I was prescribed Diclofenac (??) which is an anti-inflammatory iirc.

Beauregard · 31/05/2007 20:37

not eaten anything to set it off.
I was mopping the floor when it started ,talking to dp about another of my so called friends who also seems to have dumped me.
I suppose that may be why it's started but i felt ok at the time.

OP posts:
NikkiBFG · 31/05/2007 20:37

Oooh a friend mentioned that to me - said it was good...where can you buy it and does it leave you spaced out or just suitably chilled?

pirategirl · 31/05/2007 20:37

i have jus gone on msn pelvic if u need me, will be back and forth.

concentrate on the tv or something, it helps to distract yourself.

Beauregard · 31/05/2007 20:38

Doesn't hurt when i swallow just feels tight like before you cry.
Yes have some rescue remedy will take some now.

OP posts:
pirategirl · 31/05/2007 20:39

'talking to dp about another of my so called friends who also seems to have dumped me.'

that would be why maybe, more upsetting or anger making than you realised???

NikkiBFG · 31/05/2007 20:39

Ahh, there you go - you are probably upset about the friend...want to talk about it? Here for you if need to talk, if not

Or...(joking now) you could be in shock when realised you were mopping floor when could be mnetting

pirategirl · 31/05/2007 20:39

just mopping the floor would do it for me lol!!

Beauregard · 31/05/2007 20:40

Beauregard · 31/05/2007 20:45

Thanks everyone, what would i do without you lot!

Like pirate said it is funny how you can feel really ok and the panic sets in and yet when you aren't ok it doesn't.
If that makes sense?
