Does anyone actually have a perfectly regular cycle?

According to the GP, I'm "regular" yet my cycles range from 22-27 days. Does the perfect 28 day cycle exist?

I had a perfect cycle for about 5 years - you could almost set a clock! 5pm every 4th Thursday. 🤷🏼‍♀️

freezerfoodyum · 27/05/2018 20:07

Yep. I get mine every 28 days like clockwork, always have.

IWantMyHatBack · 27/05/2018 20:07

Yep, up until very recently it was every 4th Tuesday, usually just before lunchtime. Very handy. It's all over the place now though (peri)

MaisyPops · 27/05/2018 20:09

I used to be 27 days like clockwork and could tell you within 3 hours when I'd come on.
Then I did years on the pill and have been off it for 3 years TTC for almost 2 years and I'm generally a 27 day cycle but sometimes these days it goes a bit off (and I'm still wondering if that means something has attempted to happen).

twerkit · 27/05/2018 20:31

Ah lucky! my temp drop is my only clue to know I'll start within 24 hours.

Yes, me, for 25 years, 28 days, within an hour every month .... until I was approaching the menopause.

imagin · 27/05/2018 20:41

Wow I thought the regular cycle was a myth. Mine varies from 25-29 days

FesteringCarbuncle · 27/05/2018 20:42

I had a perfect 28 day cycle
I had a show on day 24 then started proper on day 28.
I didn't realise how exact it was until I started fertility treatment. When I was pregnant I still had a show on day 24 but did a test on day 29 which was positive
Hit the menopause now

GrouchyKiwi · 27/05/2018 20:46

I used to have a 26-day cycle, and always ovulated on day 13 (I get Mittelschmerz so always know) but since baby #3 and sterilisation it varies from 24 to 28 days and I fucking hate it. I want my regular cycle back.

ILoveMyDressingGown · 27/05/2018 20:52

I don't. I have a 35-40 day cycle with an occasional 21 dayer chucked in just to add to the fun. I have pcos though.

olderthanyouthink · 27/05/2018 20:58

You lucky cows Envy

Average is 36.5 days according to Clue, I've had 30-55 days over the last year-ish (26 & 73 are the most extreme I have recorded).

IamHappy1976 · 27/05/2018 21:01

I was every 28 days. Friday night between 10pm and midnight.
I've had a coil fitted and now I only get my period when dbf and I have a child free weekend :-(

BertieBotts · 27/05/2018 21:10

Apparently anything up to a week is counted as regular. Mine are between 23 and 31 days.

glenthebattleostrich · 27/05/2018 21:13

Every 27 days, 2 days heavy, 1 day light, 1 day more spotting. Ovulation day 13.

It's cut from 30 days before I had DD.

Strax · 27/05/2018 21:15

Yes, I was regular as clockwork for years, exactly 28 days. It's all gone haywire with peri menopause though, including things likecontinuous bleeding for two weeks, 10 days off then bleeding for another two weeks 😫

Pinkkahori · 27/05/2018 21:16

I'm perfectly regular. Unfortunately it's every 24 days like clockwork since I had children.

OddBoots · 27/05/2018 21:16

Every 28 1/2 days so it moves day of the week every 2 months. It may be regular but it is horribly heavy though, I am hoping that will be sorted when I get a fairly large polyp removed though.

Pompom42 · 27/05/2018 21:17

Yes I've always been regular 28 days since I started my periods. I'm wondering though as I'm getting older if they will start getting less regular. I'm nearing menopause age in the next 2-4 years.

CherryBlossom23 · 27/05/2018 21:17

90% of the time I have mine every 28 days. A couple of times it's been a day or two early or late but that's rare. Clue helps me to keep track.

Pigwitch · 27/05/2018 21:19

Yes very regular.

Potplant · 27/05/2018 21:25

Yep, 27/28 days for years. Pretty much the same time of day as well. Knew I was pregnant when I was a day late.

Peri menopause has me all over the place. Went to the GP when I was a week late, they were Hmm

Lilymossflower · 27/05/2018 21:26

Everyone's is totally different. I never kept track by the dates, every, because as a young teen I was told it was meant to be every 27 days and then I would get paranoid and think there was something wrong with me every time because it was longer than that.

I started keeping track by the phase of the moon, and knew it was every dark moon. Then after pregnancy and birth it was weird for a bit, coming on the full moon, then gradually gone back to every dark moon again, specifically, usually just a day after the dark moon

Halebeke425 · 27/05/2018 21:30

Yep exactly 27 day cycle since forever but this month I'm a couple days late and a bit Confused can't be pg so must be something else going on...

greystripedteepee · 27/05/2018 21:31

Yes regular

Stillblundering · 27/05/2018 21:33

Mine was a weird 40 day cycle when I was younger, now I'm spot on 27 days in my early 40's. I'm wondering if I'm more fertile now (Grin) or this more regular cycle is the start of peri menopause??
