Does anyone actually have a perfectly regular cycle?

According to the GP, I'm "regular" yet my cycles range from 22-27 days. Does the perfect 28 day cycle exist?

Yes. 28 days. Can set a clock by them. Can also tell the moment I start bleeding and feel the ovulation pain strongly too.

Pregnant with my third now and regular cycles continued after each pregnancy so far.

AthenaAshton · 27/05/2018 21:41

Mine were absolutely clockwork. 28 days to the minute. Then peri-menopause struck. Now 11 days apart, or 52 days apart, at the last count. FML.

BetterEatCheese · 27/05/2018 21:41

Yep within a day most of the time. However, as I get older the type of period changes every time and symptoms are fairly inconsistent

sherazade · 27/05/2018 21:42

28 days on a Friday night for as long as I can remember

Ollivander84 · 27/05/2018 21:43

Nope. I have a copper coil, my cycle seems to be getting shorter Confused
Between 24-27 days and period lasts 7 days

BeeMyBaby · 27/05/2018 21:46

Like olderthanyouthink says you all sound very regular and I would definitely count within a week as regular. Comparatively speaking, mine are between 45-149 (and counting) day cycles. When I was in my teens/ twenties it ranged from 45-90 days. It's like jaws, after the first month after the previous period you just never know when it's going to attack.

Fatted · 27/05/2018 21:50

Since having kids, mine are pretty much every 4 weeks. I work a 4 week shift pattern and usually end up with it on the same week.

After I came off the pill TTC DS1 I was all over the place. My longest cycle was 3 months, just before I fell pregnant. Which was amusing when I went to see the midwife for the first time!

Pippinfi · 27/05/2018 21:53

Mine was every 21 days then lasted for 5 days, was so regular I could book my Summer holiday. I don't have them now since being on the pill they've stopped completely.

Monkeybunkey · 29/05/2018 14:13

Mine was every 29 days pretty much from when I started until I got the contraceptive implant. Since then, I have maybe one period per year (definitely not pregnant!).

lubeybooby · 29/05/2018 14:17

I used to have a perfect 28 day cycle but recently it's been all over the place. anything from 23 to 40 days now

megletthesecond · 29/05/2018 14:21

Yes, I did in my 20s and 30s. They would even start when I went to the toilet in the morning. I had a hysterectomy mid 30s so I don't know how it would have panned out after that.
I was underweight, but my hormones seemed to plod on quite happily.

Tutuye · 29/05/2018 14:25

Yep, like clockwork for 5yrs

Freezingheart · 29/05/2018 14:29

Yup. Mine used to be a perfect 32 days. Could literally map it out a year in advance (infact I did once just to see if i genuine could do this...( must have been a quiet year.....) I’m not sure now but that’s because I simply cannot be arsed any longer to keep this kind of detailed info in my brain but I normally have a good feel for when it’s about due and it typically arrives when about expected.

SciFiFan2015 · 29/05/2018 14:31

I thought this thread was going to be about bikes. I obviously misread the description...

animaginativeusername · 29/05/2018 17:30

My cycle has changed from being 26 days and lasting 7 days before babies, to every 22 days and lasting 10 days. I have an app as reminder and period is never a day early or late

pinkhorse · 29/05/2018 17:31

Yep every 28 days exactly

HoneyDragon · 29/05/2018 17:32

If I’ve got hormones out my system than I’m pretty much clockwork.

Andro · 29/05/2018 19:47

26/30 alternating cycle, right from starting - regular right down to the time I come on.

lljkk · 30/05/2018 18:14

lol @ ScifiFan.
I'm not regular, I stopped keeping track about 15 yrs ago. Bliss! DD says she's same, doesn't see the point in tracking.

A lot of women on the meno/perimeno threads talk about regular cycle suddenly changing. They seem bewildered and very upset by it. So I guess very regular is just as common as semi-irregular.

vampirethriller · 30/05/2018 18:24

24 days between 9-10 am!

missnevermind · 30/05/2018 21:21

28 days and 6 hours on the dot 😂

twerkit · 30/05/2018 21:36

Right so any pearls of wisdom to regulate mine? It ranges from 22-27. I don't care which length but regular would be nice!!

Agnus castus? I can't remember how it's supposed to help but it did with me when I was ttc my children.
