Bleeding ! Graphic!!

Ok so I've had really bad cramping all day (closer to labour pain then period) a few days ago I started having brown blood and black which later came out in chunks and charcoal sort of texture , this evening I put a tampon in just incase and a red blob came out with lots of white tissue in it . I have been on the depo (contraceptive) injection and I missed my last period but this I wouldn't call a period atall it is extremely painful and the only other time I have had blood like this is with a previous suspected early miscarriage . Sorry for the graphic image and also it looks a little unclear as I was fiddling with it abit trying to inspect thoroughly I also dropped a fairly large quantity down the toilet and couldn't retrieve it . -- I've never had a blood clot like this or blood clots apart from after birth . All advice appreciated .

I'd get yourself down to a and e. The bleeding could be an eptopic but that looks like tissue, not a clot. Hope you're ok

I used to have the symptoms you describe and also passed tissue.
Turned out to be polyps in the uterus which I had removed with a D+C.

It's not pleasant passing tissue, get it checked out but I'm sure you'll be fine x

AmyJessicax26 · 16/08/2017 01:32

I've seen people post similar before and there's a name for the the thing you've shed. I can't for the life of me think of the name. It's ....... sheath I think.

AmyJessicax26 · 16/08/2017 01:35

I'll look it up x

A sheath is a part of a horse but thankyou anyway x

QuestionableMouse · 16/08/2017 01:38

A sheath can also be a membrane the wraps around something.

amysmummy12345 · 16/08/2017 01:39

I think what bloated is referring to is when a woman she's the complete linking of her uterus ooh one complete piece. It does look similar... Can't think of the medical term for it... Google losing linking of uterus in one go....

amysmummy12345 · 16/08/2017 01:39

bloated1977 · 16/08/2017 01:43

Decidual cast is what it's called!

AmyJessicax26 · 16/08/2017 01:43

Hmmm doesn't look like that though I don't think anyway but thankyou ! Really starting to stress feel like a child with a first period not knowing what's going on 😩😂

SparklyMagpie · 16/08/2017 01:45

I'd get checked tbh OP! Doesn't seem like a clot to me as a PP said, looks more like tissue

Hope you're ok x

AmyJessicax26 · 16/08/2017 01:46

Do you know any reasons why you'd pass tissue though ? - I'm ok other then stressed abit pissed off that my partner doesn't give a shit ands just sat downstairs watching the tv🙄

Ring 111 maybe? If they're concerned they'll point you in the direction of some sort of out of hours place?

newnamechange84 · 16/08/2017 01:50

Only as a mc in my view but then I'm not particularly knowledgeable in medical stuff!

AmyJessicax26 · 16/08/2017 01:53

Mc?

OP posts:
AmyJessicax26 · 16/08/2017 01:53

Thankyou again x

OP posts:

Could be mc, polyps, fibroids, cast thingy mentioned above.

You need a gynae to check it out but it's unlikely to be sinister.

Ring 111 and see what they say.

SparklyMagpie · 16/08/2017 02:10

Yes any chance you could have been pregnant OP?

I can't say i have any clue whatsoever but miscarriage was one of the first thoughts i had.

Give 111 a call OP,see what they say, they might advise you go in to do some checks

Sorry to hear youd DP isn't being supportive

AmyJessicax26 · 16/08/2017 02:14

I had suspicions and had faint positives and negatives so just assumed the positives were bad tests :/

RumerGodden · 16/08/2017 03:12

I pass membrane-like stuff every period. Have done so ever since having kids, periods now are more frequent, less blood but more of this stuff. Often find a bit on tampon when i change it. Gynae says it is fine, I have normal pap smears, no issues, no polyps etc. Have just changed from oral combined contraceptive to Mirena so am interested to see how things change.

Anyway, rambling, but just wanted to say perfectly normal for me, checked out recently by gynae but no issues.
