Peter has had to go back to harefield, much to his disappointment. his pain is unbearable again. this isnt right. he is meant to keep exercising so build up strength, but he is in so much pain he barely steps out of the house these days. i dont know the last time he came out with us, except for docs/hospital appointments

It's incredible how long this has been going on. I hope they help him feel better, misdee. xx

zippitippitoes · 27/03/2007 14:34

does he have an exercise programme or accessibility to someone to help him exercise?

in the local gym here they have aceessibility help so there are members who are wheelchair bound or walking very little and have special assistance from carer and gym staff with some supports for legs and wrists etc and use the equipment

misdee · 27/03/2007 14:35

zippi, the best exercise for him is simple walking and step exercises. but he cant do it as he is in pain.

You're always in my thoughts, Misdee. I have so much admiration for how well you and Peter cope with what you are going through.

zippitippitoes · 27/03/2007 14:42

yes I hope they can get him feeling better

I was quite surprised at how people who are clearly struggling with every day life are coming into the gym and wondered if it might be motivating but i know I don't really know what I'm talking about

Miaou · 27/03/2007 14:50

Oh just seen this, so sorry to hear this misdee. I can understand what you are saying about him being constantly in their thoughts if he is under their noses all the time.

And at fobbing him off re. the LVAD running faster - not a very helpful attitude!

I hope they get to the bottom of this pain and get it sorted out for him. {{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}}

Sorry to hear this Misdee, was only reading your blog this morning to see how things were going.

No "Happy Feet" at yours this afternoon then

Good luck, hope he is soon back home with you, and of course hope that phone rings very very soon with the news you and everyone else is waiting to hear.

X

misdee · 27/03/2007 16:14
