Would this worry you...?

I had a few weird symptoms going on (weird pain in my side / back... and the taste and smell of chlorine constantly) and the doctor said I had blood in my urine and possibly had a kidney issue. She arranged for me to have an X Ray, but I was less worried as the taste etc subsided. I put my X Ray off a week as we were on holiday and this morning went to have it.

She took my X Ray, then told me to stay laying there... went and had a look, used the phone and came back and said would I mind if she took a chest, bladder, uterus etc. So I had four more x rays.

I asked why but she just said the doctor would be in touch.

It's worrying isn't it? Confused

I'd be worried too. Harsh that she didn't tell you anything. Hope the doctor comes back to you very quickly and it's no biggie.

Now I don't know if I'm making mountains out of molehills, but I don't feel well. Every time I go up the stairs or carry DD2 I feel breathless. Walking to a restaurant with DH on holiday, I had to stop. I feel so fatigued all the time. I drove to the corner shop today Blush

But could all just be my mind now working overtime.

I think anyone would be worried.

Can you ring GP and ask them to find out for you?

Yes I think you are right to be worried.
Ring the doctors today and ask about it - the results are right there so there should be any delay. I think you were silly putting it off a week!

I know, I do too now. But the taste went and I was in barely any pain so I went on holiday... it just came back while I was away.

I'm at the GP first thing with DD2 so I'll ask if someone can talk to me.

Yes that is worrying. They wouldn't have been able to give you information there as the xrays have to be reported by a radiographer. If they are concerned they will flag it as urgent and fax it to your gp so it won't necessarily be there straight away.

Radiographers can't and won't give any clinical findings to the patients. It's not their job to interpret just collect images so the radiologist can. I think it's safe to say they saw something, enough to ask whether they should get more info but won't know what they saw - it might not be a serious thing, just - a thing - that needs treating.

Did you have a hospital consultant? If so get on to the secretary and ask for urgent feedback. If it was via GP I'd phone them now and request they get onto the hospital and ask for feedback asap as it's causing significant worry that no one will tell you what they saw.

I see that, and wasn't sure whether to post. I read piano's words about seeing a 'thing- not a serious thing, just a thing that needs treating' and got a silky picture. Sometimes, silliness gives a bit of relief in tense situations. Wasn't intended unsympathetically.

They just said they didn't have my results yet, but that I could go on the list for a ring back (but the surgery is now closed so clearly not today.)
